[Remielle cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero: Black Wings in the City Shadows

This shoot took place on a contemporary pedestrian overpass framed by industrial steel scaffolding and glass curtain walls, where cool-cyan ambient light established a sharp visual dichotomy against my pastel pink hair. To faithfully manifest Remielle's distinctive aura from Zenless Zone Zero, textile nuances proved paramount in the dark. The ensemble boasts diverse materials: abundant black patent leather spliced with semi-sheer gossamer panels, while chest zippers, tactical metal buckles, and a silver star pendant caught the night strobes with piercing, icy specularity. To amplify visual dominance, the colossal black wings rigged to my back took center stage.

The wings consist of tiered geometric feather plates finished along their rims with gilded and bronze leafing, expanding with imposing scale. Carrying substantial physical mass, maintaining poses demanded strict core stabilization—especially during single-leg lifts or crouched angles reliant on leg endurance. To prevent the wings from warping during repositioning, their angle had to be recalibrated with every camera shift. The coordinated over-the-knee Black stockings incorporate intricate leather straps and garter rigging, which not only elongated leg contours cleanly, but also enriched the textural complexity of the lower half. The glossy black stiletto pumps feature metallic studding; despite their towering height, their traction was reliable, providing solid ground support across the stone steps.

The wig is a short pastel pink cut accented by a scarlet ribbon bow on the right and her signature black 'X' hairclip on the left. Combating the nocturnal breeze required continual styling upkeep to keep stray fibers from obscuring facial features. In terms of cosmetics, soft pinkish eye shadows paired with ruby contact lenses, emphasized by high-contrast facial highlights to ensure sharp bone structure remained distinct under intricate city lighting. Collaborating with photographer Liu Hehe was seamless—Night photography places immense demands on fill light. With blue-violet and white ambient fixtures intersecting the environment, key lights had to land pinpoint on facial features and patent leather gloss while preserving the moody cyberpunk atmosphere.

To highlight every detail of the wardrobe, we cycled through diverse poses. We opened with a casual rail lean, angling the torso slightly to reveal the tailored waist cutouts through subtle rotational twist. Next, resting one foot high upon the guardrail dramatically accentuated the texture of the Black stockings and stiletto heels, while allowing the massive wings to flare out behind in full silhouette for heightened tension. Later, we explored a low crouch: lowering my center of gravity while shooting from a slightly elevated high-angle cleanly captured bodice curves and neckline hardware. Throughout the session, face angles were continually refined to ensure the ruby lenses and ocular demeanor faithfully conveyed her detached, aloof allure.

Outdoor Night photography is a rigorous trial of endurance, particularly when balancing unwieldy props and high stilettos where every glance and stance requires exhaustive experimentation. Downtime was spent checking that wing feathers hadn't bent and that harness straps remained taut. Reviewing the proofs afterward, seeing how the textile sheens and sweeping wing silhouettes converged under the light verified that every moment of physical exertion was completely worthwhile. Fusing dark edge with modern urban nightscapes aligned seamlessly with the character's universe, making this an thoroughly rewarding creative journey.
