[Vivian cosplay] Nanning Autumn Comic Convention: Zenless Zone Zero Convention Photo Snapshots

I chose to shoot this set of Zenless Zone Zero Vivian cosplay photos during the Nanning Autumn Comic Convention, and I'm personally quite pleased with how everything turned out. To be honest, when I first decided to cosplay this character, I felt a bit nervous. Her facial makeup details and variety of accessories are quite extensive. Achieving high accuracy while maintaining her persona amidst the messy lighting of a comic convention required thorough advance preparation.

First, let's talk about the wig and accessories. For this shoot, I specifically chose a light purple long wavy wig, where the white highlight on the crown serves as the most eye-catching feature. To ensure the wig wouldn't get frizzy throughout the long convention day, I carefully smoothed and styled it beforehand. The blue hair accessory and classic elf ears are the soul of the look; to make the ears appear natural, I paid special attention to blending the ear base with the hair color, avoiding any overly synthetic or plastic look before the camera.

The costume design features rich layers: the inner layer is a white shirt with a high ruffled collar, topped with a slate-blue vest and highlighted by a dark blue bow tie on the chest. The lower half combines a glossy black leather corset with a geometric-cut blue skirt. Although the outfit is fairly heavy, moving around the convention hall felt comfortable enough. In particular, the hollowed-out waist design combined with the jacket's silhouette created striking dimensional depth under the venue's lighting.

The umbrella prop used for this shoot was also something I specially sourced. The black long-handled umbrella boasts excellent tactile quality, and the purple winged motif matches the character's temperament perfectly. Whether held in hand or rested on the shoulder, it served as an ideal visual anchor. The prop's center of gravity and length provided great balance during shooting, looking effortless whether gripped in one hand or raised over the shoulder.

Shooting conditions at a convention really test a photographer's snapshot abilities. In a crowded hall, framing out chaotic crowds and busy backgrounds while managing ambient light makes convention photography challenging. Luckily, my partner had a great grasp of lighting and composition. Keeping our movements fluid, we experimented with different poses—including standing quietly with the umbrella open, reaching toward the lens for interactive shots, and turning to gaze to the side. The resulting lighting and shadows made all the hard work worthwhile, delivering fantastic ambiance.

Attending offline events like this always lets me feel everyone's boundless passion for ACG culture. Although cosplaying gets warm and sweaty, and there's always the slight worry of getting the outfit dirty, showcasing the fruits of hard preparation before fellow passionate fans is deeply fulfilling in itself. This set of convention photos captures those wonderful little moments throughout the day and serves as a rewarding tribute to this cosplay experience.
