[Gaming Cosplay] The Lion Dance Boy from Genshin Impact: A Stroll Through Bamboo Groves and Rockeries

Once dressed in this Traditional Chinese style cosplay outfit with a red, blue, and green color palette, holding the lion head prop in my arms, I instantly felt like taking a stroll through bamboo groves and rockeries. This shoot was located at Youxian Mountain Hall in Zizhuyuan Park, where the natural Chinese garden scenery complemented the character remarkably well. Green bamboo, Taihu rocks, and small waterfalls naturally fit into the frame without needing artificial set construction. The prop's fur texture felt great and substantial in hand. During shooting, we specifically designed several different interactions with the prop—from casually resting it on my shoulder, to holding it attentively with both hands, and placing it at my feet for a pose full of ready tension—each shot trying to get as close as possible to the character's grounded yet vibrant personality. The patchwork design of the clothing was very refined, especially the diamond grid patterns and tassels on the pant legs, which looked distinct under the bamboo forest light and shadows. The wig featured streak-dyeing, with a mix of red and black sharpening my facial contours. The movements throughout the shoot were quite dynamic, but the photo success rate was very high. Poses like sitting on the rockery or standing by the water perfectly captured that youthful spirit of a boy who "has walked every kind of path." Fusing lion dance props with the Genshin Impact setting made for a highly stylish Traditional Chinese style cosplay experience.
