[Riyo cosplay] Gachiakuta GACHIAKUTA greatsword challenge

Riyo's set of photos has finally been fully edited and released. This time I'm cosplaying Riyo from Gachiakuta, and the GACHIAKUTA in the post is that feeling when this big scissor prop swings.

The costume part took quite a long time to prepare, and the layering of this outfit is very rich. The jacket is a light gray short jacket with black splicing, a yellow round badge on the left chest, and a black tactical badge on the arm. The inner wear is a white crop top tube top. To prevent exposure during shooting, invisible fixing was specially done inside, and black side-band decorations were added. The lower body consists of black tight shorts, paired with a white belt with a large silver square buckle, and a small brown pouch hanging on the right waist to store some small props. Below the knees are black over-the-knee tube socks with straps and metal buckles, and platform Martin boots on the feet, presenting a strong functional Wasteland fashion. Although no stockings were worn, the combination of bare legs and tube socks/boots better reflects the character's combat vibe.

The props this time are definitely worth talking about. The shape of the greatsword scissors is very special, with asymmetrical blades, two huge circular hollows, a black main body, and fluorescent green graffiti. During production, to reduce my burden during shooting, lightweight EVA foam material was used inside, and the surface was hardened, but even so, this sword is still very heavy. To hold it steady during shooting, I had to constantly adjust the stress points of my hands. In picture 2, the pose of lifting one leg with the big scissors blocking in front was repeated several times to capture the best moment, and my thigh muscles were shaking. In picture 1, the posture of dragging the scissors with one hand, although having a support point on the ground, still required controlling the expression to look effortless. In picture 4, holding the greatsword horizontally with both hands on hips requires strong waist strength to support the uprightness of the upper body, while also taking care of the display of leg lines.

The wig is bright red and very wild. Because there are many sharp corners, a lot of hair wax and hairspray were needed for styling. The yellowish-green highlight streak in front of the forehead was a small separate piece of wig glued on, and the red collar ring is a must-have accessory. In terms of makeup, dark eyeshadow was used for smudging, combined with green-gray contact lenses to make the gaze look sharper.

This shoot took place in a solid-color background studio. The lighting was very translucent, and the texture of the clothes and props could be well displayed. Those photos standing on the white cylindrical platform were actually a bit shaky when stepping up, requiring core tightening to maintain balance, and relaxing the posture even a bit would make it look loose. The photography's color control is very accurate, and the frame is clean, allowing people to see the focus at a glance.

From grooming the wig, adjusting the clothing size to handcrafting the props, a lot of thought went into every link. Turning ideas into reality step by step through costumes, props, and lenses is addictive in itself. Next, I'm going to start preparing things for the next character, and I hope I can shoot the desired effect then.
