[Keqing cosplay] Genshin Impact Keqing Bride: The Yuheng Beneath the White Veil

Let's dive straight into discussing this shoot for the Keqing Bride version.

The main concept for this costume was to reinforce the ceremonial feel of a wedding dress while preserving Keqing's original features. Building on a white base with my usual light purple-blue accent colors, you can see a blue-purple bow at the neckline. The veil uses a layer of translucent white tulle with snowflake patterns, which showed quite a nice texture in the sunlight. The cat-ear buns were intentionally adjusted slightly higher so that, in combination with the veil, they wouldn't feel too heavy or cramped.

For the location, we picked a place with two distinct settings. The first stop was a staircase with sunny glass curtain walls. The photographer's low-angle perspective clearly depicted the details of the dress hem and shoes; pairing white stockings with block-heeled white shoes featuring small crushed crystals really makes the legs look longer. The light was beaming down directly from overhead—a bit glaring, but it brought out all the fabric textures and lace layers. The contrast between light and shadow on the stairs was just right, allowing us to complete this shot without needing extra reflector boards.

The second setting was beside a terrace, where we could frame the metallic sphere tower in the distance. It was a bit windy then, causing the veil to billow up from time to time, which unexpectedly captured very natural dynamic movement. The white bouquet ball held in my hand lasted all day; the flowers were firm and didn't shed petals, which was great.

The final shot was taken outdoors by a water feature. Since the sun was almost setting, the lighting was soft without harsh shadow lines. This photo mainly focuses on the makeup and expression in my eyes. The pale purple eyeshadow and lip color were chosen to match the hair color. The wig had a light purple gradient, and I used a bit of hair wax to style the bangs slightly so they wouldn't look stiff.

Overall, preparing the costume, wig, props, and scheduling the photographer took a bit longer than usual, especially putting extra effort into wig styling and securing the cat-ear buns. The photographer's choice of location and angle cooperation saved me a lot of hassle, capturing the exact frames I envisioned without needing much verbal direction. Taking our time with the shoot without rushing the final output was actually a process of appreciating how this outfit transforms under different lighting conditions in this Anime-style photography set. I personally am very satisfied with how this version turned out, as it retains Keqing's cool elegance while adding a subtle touch of warmth.
