For this Touhou Remilia work, I paid special attention to the texture and layering of the costume. The red lace and multi-layered skirt design aim to perfectly restore that gorgeous yet slightly oppressive Gothic style. To make the shots more story-driven, we put a lot of effort into setting up the scene, from vintage red velvet curtains to the heavy-textured fireplace, and those historic ornaments—every corner exists to create the visual tone of "Hong'ou". In terms of makeup and styling, I chose more tense color combinations. The blue hair color and the rich red dress create a strong visual impact, while ensuring the character's inherent noble temperament. Especially when shooting light and shadow, I used dim indoor lighting with local accents to outline Remilia's iconic mystery. In addition, the proportion and material of the wings were adjusted many times to ensure that they can perfectly support the overall frame in different compositions, making the dynamic effect more outstanding. Through this cosplay emphasizing Character accuracy, I hope to fully present that immersive manor atmosphere in the lens.
