For this Rei Ayanami cosplay outfit from the GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE × Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover at the Nanning Liangya Summer Convention, I paid special attention to selecting props and costume materials during pre-production. The main body of the dress utilizes silver-blue gradient fabric with metallic luster, featuring a halter neck cut paired with an open back, allowing the overall silhouette to retain a certain lightness amid tough sci-fi aesthetics. Semi-transparent sheer tulle on the shoulders and bright purple ribbon ties serve as visually striking accents that balance the heavy mechanical weight of the large gun in hand, keeping the color palette unified in cool tones under cluttered venue lighting. The wig choice was short light blue hair; its tone and texture maintained a soft muted balance under both outdoor natural light and indoor overhead spotlights. Paired with black lace hair accessories on the side, it needed minimal heavy styling, staying naturally soft and fluffy. Makeup revolved around clean translucency and eyes, paired with reddish-orange contacts to capture that detached yet focused gaze, with neatly trimmed eyebrows echoing the short hair.

That sci-fi styled prop gun was the centerpiece of this shoot—a white casing accented with a black skeleton frame, adorned with vibrant green, yellow, and reddish-orange accents on the sides. Its volume is substantial and carries significant weight in hand. To master holding postures during the shoot, I deliberately adjusted engagement points across my arms and back, especially for side-turned backward glances holding the weapon with one hand in Pictures 2 and 4, which truly tested core waist strength and shoulder line presentation. Thanks to the atmosphere at the Nanning Anime Convention venue, the ambiance of this shoot was wonderful; we specifically utilized high-level venue spotlights as top light while placing a strip diffuser panel on the side. This cool white lighting method rendered skin clear and translucent while letting the outfit's silver-blue reflective fabric absorb and refract richer visual depth.

Although foot traffic at the Nanning Liangya Summer Convention was heavy, with plenty of passersby and attendees in the background, proper lens focal length choices nicely separated the subject from the backdrop—preserving the vibrant convention atmosphere without letting cluttered backgrounds distract from the character portrayal. Considering equipment precision and costume breathability, staying inside the venue for extended periods demanded stamina and skin condition, so shooting pacing was tightly managed to avoid main thoroughfares during peak hours. Output efficiency was remarkably high; the photographer's angles captured key costume features wonderfully, fully capturing equipment details without crowding the subject into frame edges. Wrapping up and reviewing after shooting confirmed that equipment fidelity achieved expected results: from asymmetrical skirt cuts and trailing ribbon drapes to overall body proportions, everything left a complete visual record in these Nanning Anime Convention photos.
