[Yoshino Cosplay] Sharing the Atmospheric Vibe at Firefly ACG Expo

Today is the third day of the Firefly ACG Expo. Taking advantage of the gradually dispersing crowds, I completed this set of green-and-white color-themed cosplay convention photos. The design logic of the entire costume lies in the layering and stacking of lightness, where the green long-eared coat with serrated edges and geometric patterns on the cuffs is paired with the inner white pleated half-skirt to perfectly balance the volume of the upper and lower body.

The texture of the coat is micro-fleece, which prevents overexposure under the complex lighting of the convention, making it perfect for this bright setting. The cuffs use a splice of different materials, enhancing visual richness. The pink bow tie and gold round button at the collar serve as color accents, breaking the monotony of the green and white color scheme. This kind of detail actually carries more texture in front of the lens than what is seen with the naked eye, especially under the natural side-backlight, beautifully presenting the fabric's texture.

The light blue long hair is the focus of this styling. Instead of using overly thick hair wefts, we adopted a layered curling technique with a slight volume on the straight bangs and framing strands on both sides. This creates a natural flowing movement when paired with indoor wind or during motion. For the makeup, a white base paired with blue contact lenses emphasized a touch of reddish eyeshadow at the outer corners of the eyes to make the gaze look more lively. The lip color utilized a peach pink that echoes the bow tie, striving to keep the makeup translucent while highlighting the character's signature cool yet soft nature.

The bunny plush is a classic pairing, featuring a soft plush material on the surface and an independent structure for the eyes, serving as an excellent anchor for hand gestures when posing. The small red prop in my other hand adds a splash of bright color, creating a visual leap. The leg decorations feature a gold bell thigh ring with white fur, paired with long socks and green tall boots, which naturally displays elegant lines when sitting sideways on the swing. These accessories echo each other as I walk and sit, making the entire styling look more three-dimensional.

The swing setup of the shooting scene is decorated with white sheer curtains, which produce a soft halo under backlight or side-backlight, adding a dreamy and aesthetic feel to the frame. The large-area blue backdrop and the bordering simulated flowers construct the vibe of an outdoor courtyard, forming a perfect color coordination with the light blue hair and green coat. During the shoot, I deliberately chose a few relaxed and playful poses, such as holding the plush with one hand or resting my cheek in my hand, trying to make the atmosphere look more natural instead of chasing a sharp, fierce feel, thus recreating an everyday liveliness.

Day 3 of the convention actually took a lot of physical energy. From styling early in the morning to shooting in the afternoon, wearing the wig and props for a long time was a bit stuffy, but seeing the quality of the final photos made it completely worth it. This set of convention photos and the anime convention daily life showcase is all about the soft, unified colors and the vividness brought by prop interaction. The process of completing this set on the swing was incredibly smooth, and the photographer beautifully captured the subtle texture of the light hitting the wig and costume. Compared to pure studio shoots, real-world sets built at conventions can better inspire natural emotional expressions, and I am personally highly satisfied with the final images.
