[Lynette Cosplay] Genshin Impact Catgirl's Leisurely Stroll in a European-Style Manor

Taking a day off today, I didn't fuss over complex camera settings. Instead, I suited up in this costume to catch the breeze at a European-style manor. This time I cosplayed Lynette from Genshin Impact, dedicating immense thought to hair and makeup to capture her enigmatic yet graceful feline aura. The wig was styled with a side braid and fluffy ends, paired with fuzzy white cat ears to make the silhouette feel more nimble. The eye makeup emphasized reddish-pink blending with a small black star decal beneath the left eye, which, combined with dark contacts, drew my expression as close to the character as possible.

The outfit features rich layering: a white blouse with puffed sleeves on the inside, overlaid with a black leather corseted vest and a matching miniskirt. The leather texture cast a cool, sleek sheen under natural light. The oversized blue bow and brown ribbons across the chest served as focal highlights, with a long, fluffy black tail extending from the back—requiring deliberate core control while walking to ensure it swayed organically rather than hanging stiffly. Hand details were equally essential, with black-and-white colorblocked gloves and leather straps conveying her poised, capable demeanor.

The small bouquet of white flowers (lilies of the valley) held in my hands was a spontaneous prop addition, originally intended to introduce breathing room into the darker wardrobe, but it blended into the frames with surprising harmony. Throughout the shoot, photographer Ye-jiang kept capturing candid movements. To embody a feline sense of lazy composure, I leaned over wooden railings staring into space, spaced out while seated across stone steps, or reached my hand outward along the corridors. This pairing of black Stockings and high-heeled tall boots required mindful posture adjustments when sitting or bending the knees, allowing the leg lines to extend naturally in frame while keeping the fabric smooth and unwrinkled.

The manor's classical architecture—with stone pillars and carved masonry walls—provided a superb backdrop. Even though this was just a casual documentation of my day off, I still found myself instinctively calculating lighting setups with reflectors and speedlights as the natural light shifted. For instance, when shooting in shady nooks, utilizing ambient bounce light helped soften facial shadows, avoiding harsh demarcation lines between highlights and darks. The session felt less like a rigid shoot and more like a relaxing stroll, allowing me to accumulate hands-on outdoor portrait experience among intricate architecture while adjusting garments, finding light angles, and fine-tuning poses. Spending time purely engaging with light and shadow without strict deliverables is truly a rare pleasure.
