Queen of All Waters, All Kindreds, All Peoples and All Laws. This time, the final photo quality truly exceeded expectations. Whether it's the completion of the costume, makeup, and props, or the control of light and shadow during shooting, it has reached a state that satisfies me greatly.

Let's first talk about the costume itself. When restoring this character for my Genshin Impact cosplay, I paid considerable attention to the matching degree of various components and details. The black wide-brimmed top hat on her head features lace and pearl tassels on the edge, paired with a crescent metal decoration, forming a high-contrast cool tone with the ice-blue highlights of the wig. The color of the wig went through several rounds of preliminary dyeing treatments to achieve this effect of a silver-white base gleaming with cool blue, and the curvature of the crown was specially styled to fit the shape for wearing a hat without looking flat.

The highlights of the clothing are mainly concentrated on the silhouette of the chest and the corset design of the waist. The black velvet bodice is spliced with white organza trim, enveloping an exquisite bow, while the hollowed-out cross-strap design at the waist perfectly accentuates the overall curves. The sleeves are off-shoulder puff sleeves extending into deep blue long gloves, with prominent rhombic geometric gemstones embedded on both the inner and outer sides of the arms. The square sapphire right in the center of the large black waistband bow serves as the visual core of the entire waist. The skirt hem features a blue-and-white gradient layered mesh design, plus long black streamers draping on the left and right, creating a very natural flowing grace when walking or lifting one foot. To support the fluffiness of this skirt hem, I configured an appropriately sized petticoat inside, so the drape of the surface fabric is extremely smooth without extra wrinkles. The craftsmanship of the prop scepter is also very sophisticated; the gold and sapphire texture at the handle is exceptionally strong, and the deep blue scepter body has gradient details, possessing its own reflective texture under the lights.

Speaking of Cosplay photography, special thanks must go to the photographer Shouchang this time. As a photographer who frequently shoots on-site at anime conventions, he possesses superb professional response capabilities when facing messy lighting environments. He darkened the live background through precise light control and utilized the faint high-position light at the top of the convention hall to outline very beautiful rim lighting for the portrait. Beyond basic lighting, his grasp of snapshot timing was also excellent; the four final photos respectively reflect his sharp observation of four different compositional states. For instance, the balance point between lifting one leg and stretching the arm in Image 3 needed to be completed within an extremely short time, and he continuously snapped almost without pausing to choose this exact moment where the skirt hem and streamers were in their best dynamic state. For the near-shot half-body reaching out in Image 1, he cleverly used a shallow depth of field to blur the messy booth backgrounds around, concentrating the visual focus entirely on the facial emotions and hand movements of the character, which pleasantly surprised me.

Wearing this outfit at the convention venue was actually very physically exhausting, especially those black patent leather high heels, whose platform and heel height placed high demands on the support of the ankles. However, to better restore the character's inherent noble aristocratic posture, I worked hard to keep my core tight on-site, trying to make my body gestures extended yet not stiff. For the makeup, I also deliberately used a minimalist approach, removing exaggerated eyeshadow colors and relying on deep blue contact lenses and long eyelashes to amplify the eye expressions. Paired with a light, faint reddish lip color, it let the whole person reveal a trace of vitality amidst the cold color tones. Overall, although the time span from preparation to shooting and finally seeing the completed photos wasn't short, being able to cooperate so seamlessly with the photographer to present the character's elegant, mysterious, and slightly gorgeous temperament exactly as it is brings an irreplaceable sense of satisfaction. It truly feels like a beautiful realization, capturing the ethereal essence of Furina: Letter from the Deep Sea.
