This time I was invited to participate in the Toward the Abyss Theme Pop-up event held by Arknights: Endfield, located inarket/atrium of the shopping mall. The site was decorated with a lot of cyan decorations and game exhibition boards, and that huge gray spherical smiling face sculpture was very eye-catching. For this offline pop-up, I prepared two outfits with vastly different styles. The first set leans toward a hardcore Techwear style, with a black leather jacket spliced with a dark blue inner wear on the upper body. The red-and-black asymmetric armor and heavy long boots on the lower body were the key points of wearing; adjusting the straps and metal buckles took a considerable amount of time. The wig needed to be styled with messy layers, and the beast-ear hair ornaments on top of the head as well as the mark on the forehead were carefully restored. The second set is a sweet-cool dress style, featuring orange-pink long hair paired with a hat decorated with purple horns, wearing a multi-layered ruffed dress alternating in blue and white, with a purple heart-shaped small bag hanging at the waist. To make the overall pairing more layered, a pair of black stockings was chosen for the lower body, matched with blue-purple platform shoes. Both the undulations of the skirt hem and the overall draping feel required careful arrangement.

The lighting inside the mall was relatively complex, with the light sources of ceiling lights and electronic screens intertwined. To ensure clean facial light and shadow, we made multiple adjustments to the lighting positions and tried interacting with the height difference of the booth and that huge gray sculpture. When shooting the first sitting pose, it was necessary to utilize the characteristics of the long boots and armor, pressing the center of gravity onto the edge of the booth. When shooting the second standing pose, to highlight the layers of the skirt hem and leg lines, I tried a dynamic posture of leaning forward and reaching out forward, speeding up the camera shutter speed to snapshot the moment the skirt hem fluttered.

The rhythm of the pop-up event was relatively compact, and wearing the leather jacket and heavy equipment for a long time could feel a bit stuffy. During rest intervals, I had to check the base makeup and clothing status at any time, and when touching up makeup, I also had to be careful not to destroy the wig styling. Many players stopped by at the site, and maintaining natural expressions and actions under the gaze of the crowd required a certain level of focus. Adjusting prop positions, confirming wig edge fit—every detail had to be kept perfect in front of the lens. The entire shooting process went very smoothly, the staff cooperated tacitly, and the lighting at the site gave me a lot of room to play, successfully completing the shooting tasks of several different scenes.
