[Rikka cosplay] Spring Outdoor Shoot Share at Manhua Manor

This shoot took place under the cherry blossom trees at Chengdu Manhua Manor, using a Sony A7M4 paired with a Sigma 85mm f/1.4 lens. The in-camera Creative Look profile was set to SH (Highlights -5, Shadows +3, Contrast +4, Saturation +3, Sharpness +1, Sharpness Range 4, Clarity 1), which made the process effortless. Here are a few shooting details to share.

First, I have to point out that Chengdu during cherry blossom season is truly packed with crowds—both weekends and weekdays are swarming with people. To get clean shots, we tried to move to higher spots as much as possible, using steps or stone bridges for composition, and later removed background crowds and did subtle liquefy adjustments in post-processing.

For the costume coordination, I chose a purple shirt and a black pinafore dress. The standout highlights are the Black stockings and platform leather shoes, a combination that nicely elongates leg lines on camera. For poses like a one-legged kick or standing on steps, I had to repeatedly shift my balance while keeping expressions and movements relaxed to naturally capture the most flattering leg angles. The black umbrella prepared as a prop had great texture; spinning with the open umbrella under blossoming trees or crouching down brought the atmosphere to the max. The details of the eyepatch and bandages were the soul of the look, giving the entire photo set a strong narrative feel.

In post-processing, slightly brightening shadows and saturation made the cherry blossoms appear more translucent. Combined with the red lip makeup and deep blue contact lenses on the face, it perfectly aligned with a visual mood that blends spring romance with a uniquely distinct aura. Although the entire shooting process was tiring, the final results were very ideal.
