Slipping into this Eresh cosplay swimsuit battle outfit, adjusting my red contact lenses, and symmetrically tying up my blonde twin-tails with red-and-black ribbon bows, the Convention photo shoot officially began. This light blue and white color-blocked one-piece swimsuit offers a form-fitting silhouette; its white halter neck design, light blue ribbon bow, and waist ruffles create wonderful visual layering. The location chosen was a well-lit, large exhibition hall with neatly arranged cool-toned industrial lights overhead. Because this overhead lighting is exceptionally even, it proved perfectly suited for bright, crisp Anime-style photography.

To accurately recreate the character's expression, I wore reddish-pink contact lenses and gently smudged matching eyeshadow around my eyes. For the first set of poses, I brought along a gray hardshell suitcase, kneeling on a gray floor mat with my center of gravity leaning slightly forward, hands resting naturally on the suitcase. While this pose seems simple, it requires maintaining an upright back while projecting a relaxed and languid aura.

Selected for the main cover shot, I shifted my posture into a side-kneeling position on the mat, gently resting my right cheek on my hand. This orientation concentrates the composition's center on facial expressions and eye contact. By subtly turning my shoulders, the neck line and collarbone contours emerge naturally, giving the overall composition room to breathe. Simultaneously, the way the one-piece swimsuit wraps around body curves is showcased beautifully, with leg positioning adding further visual engagement.

In subsequent shots, I switched to transparent block-heel sandals and lifted a woven straw hat accented with a wide purple ribbon and pink flowers in one hand. The straw hat possessed a delicate weave, with the purple ribbon creating a striking color-contrast effect that enriched the color palette whether held or cradled. Putting on the sandals raised my center of gravity, naturally elongating my leg lines visually.

Shooting a Convention photo set in large venue settings presents the main challenge of locking visual focus onto the character amid vast, complex background lighting. One must balance leveraging spatial depth while bypassing cluttered photography equipment and passing crowds. Fortunately, communication with the photographer was seamless as we prioritized camera positioning. To prevent photos from looking stiff, I experimented with varied eye lines—looking straight into the lens, glancing sideways, or lowering my eyelids gently to elevate atmosphere. Using a wide aperture, the photographer softly blurred background lights and passersby, rendering the foreground character strikingly crisp.

Shooting this summer-style Swimsuit cosplay look was a comfortable and rewarding character expression attempt. From the natural drape of hair strands to the bright highlights falling across face and skin, everything rendered naturally and refreshingly before the camera. By fully utilizing handheld props and ambient venue lighting, I hope this captured the unique splendor of Anime-style photography for Fate/Grand Order.
