The styling of today's Peach and Moon Chinese-style Lolita focuses on the layering of the pink-and-white color scheme. The main body of the dress is spliced with multi-layered tulle and lace, with the lining featuring light blue prints and the outer layer covered in pink mesh, making the skirt hem present a very light and airy state when walking. The skirt body and cuffs are decorated with a large amount of water-soluble lace and satin ribbon bows, and the embroidery craftsmanship adds a lot of points during close-up shots, with very clear floral details. To match the overall style, the hairstyle was chosen as double buns, adorned with pink lace hair accessories with pearl tassels on both sides to increase visual symmetrical beauty.
The shooting location was chosen by the lake in the park, where weeping willows and the water surface provided a great natural background. The full-body shot in picture six showcases the matching of Stockings and beautiful legs with brown flat leather shoes, and the overall proportions and composition are very coordinated. The shooting day was overcast, and the diffuse light made the lace texture and embroidery details of the dress very clear without overexposure issues. In terms of action design, I tried my best to avoid stiff posing, such as sitting on the stones by the water or leaning against the railing of the wooden bench; these poses can better showcase the draping feel of the skirt hem while giving the frame more narrative feel. The wind was a bit strong, and the weeping willows kept swaying, which instead added a dynamic aesthetic to the frame.
In terms of props, the translucent pink umbrella and the pearl-trimmed embroidered round fan are the keys to this styling. When holding the umbrella, attention needs to be paid to the wrist strength to keep the umbrella surface naturally open, avoiding blocking the facial light. The pearl border of the round fan has a very good reflective effect under the light, and placing it next to the face can nicely refine the facial contours. When shooting by the lake, the water surface and green vegetation provided great color contrast, making the pink-and-white main color scheme stand out more. Because I had to hold the umbrella or fan all the time, my arms were indeed a bit sore, but seeing the finished photos made me feel it was all worth it.
There is a pink ribbon at the waist of the dress, which can slightly adjust the tightness—this design is very considerate, allowing me to maintain comfort during long-time shooting. For shoes, brown flat leather shoes matched with white lace-trimmed socks were chosen; although walking for a long time can be a bit tiring, walking on the grass or stone paths is still quite steady. For the makeup part, to match this sweet style, a rather obvious pink-toned blush and glitter eyeshadow were used, and the fake eyelashes for the eye makeup were chosen in a relatively natural style to avoid being too exaggerated and ruining the overall atmosphere.
The entire shooting process was relatively relaxed, and the combination of natural light and scenery made the success rate of photos very high. Rather than deliberately pursuing a certain setting, I prefer to showcase the inherent beauty of this clothing itself. Whether it is the hollow lace sleeves or the three-dimensional bows on the skirt hem, they were all well restored under the lens. This attempt also gave me more insights into the matching of Chinese-style Lolita, and I look forward to trying different styles next time.
