[Cyrene Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail: Convention photos of Adult Cyrene during the Dragon Boat Festival

The temperature at the ICOS comic con during the Dragon Boat Festival was quite high and foot traffic was intense, yet I insisted on bringing this immensely intricate outfit of Adult Cyrene to the venue in its full glory. This costume boasts abundant layers, featuring multiple tiers of airy chiffon and satin inside and out; the ruffles and lace trim of the skirt required meticulous pressing layer by layer before heading out. The cut-out detailing and colorful ribbons on the bodice took significant time to adjust during dressing to ensure nothing shifted during the shoot. To maintain peak condition on-site, I styled and trimmed the wig in advance at the hotel. The pink-to-white gradient wig required plenty of hairspray to preserve its voluminous fluff, and the Elf ears were firmly anchored to the skin using specialized SFX glue.

Speaking of props, this scepter holds a wealth of details: the white feathered wings and blue-purple gemstone accents were crafted from lightweight materials, yet holding it up for poses inside the hall still tested physical stamina. To highlight the high-low hemline of the dress, I paired it with white patterned stockings and stepped into silver high heels, accentuating Stockings and beautiful legs. Standing and walking on the hard floor of the exhibition hall made my feet quite sore, but seeing the photographer's lens, all exhaustion vanished from mind.

While capturing these Convention photos, I continuously contemplated the character's premise—one dwelling in the past, one reaching toward the future. To express this interwoven sense of time and space before the camera, my poses leaned toward gentle softness. In seated poses, I spread the skirt as wide as possible to showcase the gradient hues and starlike textures, letting hand gestures harmonize with the floral wreath and facial expressions to evoke a tranquil, searching longing. In standing poses, I shifted my weight onto one leg while extending the other slightly forward, utilizing the sleek lines of the high heels and stockings to elongate vertical visual proportions, while raising or leveling the scepter with one hand to elevate visual tension and narrative depth.

Lighting at conventions is typically cluttered and chaotic. To accentuate the rich texture of the fabric and the silky sheen of the satin, the photographer and I spent a long time scouting light sources across the venue, combining overhead ceiling spotlights with our portable fill-light gear to chisel sharper three-dimensional facial contours. This voluminous gown frequently risked catching on other attendees or floor cables during movement, so each step required delicately lifting the skirt hem. From makeup application and dressing to wrapping up the shoot, although the entire journey was exhausting, completely bringing this look to life and spending the Dragon Boat holiday with fellow anime enthusiasts brought profound fulfillment.
