[Roxy Cosplay] Wearing Photoshoot and Detailed Review Sharing

Today I received this Roxy set from Dimension Radio. I immediately put it on and took a few mirror selfies, just in time to chat with everyone about the actual wearing experience of this outfit. Let's start with my personal feelings. I bought the S size. If you are considering picking it up, you can carefully read my judgments below based on the physical item experience for this cosplay costume review.

First, let's talk about the material. When I got the clothes, it felt like 100% polyester fabric, with a rather smooth feel, and the overall quality is mediocre. However, I have to complain that the size of the clothes and the size chart provided by the merchant completely mismatch. Almost every data point is a full size smaller than the chart, especially the chest circumference, which is directly 8 cm smaller. After putting it on, I clearly felt it was quite tight. When lifting my arms, if I don't adjust the clothes first, it's even difficult to raise my hands above my head. If sisters have a more voluptuous figure, I highly recommend buying one size up.

Next, let's talk about the accessories and fastening issues. This hat is truly a massive headache. The inside of the hat is stuffed full of cotton, leaving no hole for the head to slide in. When worn on the head, it slides down with even a slight movement. For us going to an anime convention or walking around, it is basically impossible to wear securely. The cape uses velcro to fasten, which is a very unstable design—it falls off with slightly larger movements. The most absurd part is the capelet of the inner garment, which actually relies solely on two buttons to fasten. Before I even started putting on the outer cape, the inner capelet had already fallen off by itself. I also saw other cosplayers who bought the same style complaining on Xianyu, saying the cape's buttons fall off very easily; I've already seen at least two different sellers posting about this issue.

Then there's the issue of sleeve length. Normally when I stand with my hands hanging down naturally, the cuffs can't cover my wrists at all, which feels almost like three-quarter sleeves. If I lift my hands slightly, the cuffs immediately shrink back above the elbows. At that time, I went to check other people's photo returns on Xiaohongshu and found that when everyone lifts their arms at 90 degrees, the sleeves almost shrink to the elbow area, making the overall proportion look a bit short.

Speaking of the lower half, this skirt has only a single thin layer, with no inner lining or anti-exposure design, making it very easy to flash or look sheer when walking around; the handling of details is somewhat crude. I heard that the same style from other stores on the market features a two-layer design, so by comparison, this piece indeed appears a bit thin.

Having talked about the issues, objectively speaking, for beginners who don't have high wearing requirements, this set looks relatively faithful to the original among the same styles available on the market from its appearance. At the very least, the feeling of the overall color scheme is correct, and all the required accessories are complete, including details like hanging chains, white edges, and binding straps for a classic witch-style outfit look.

If your hands-on ability is quite strong, most of the issues mentioned above can actually be remedied by yourself. For example, with the hat issue, you can add a few BB clips or bobby pins on the inside to secure it, so it won't keep sliding down when going out to take photos. The velcro on the cape can also be replaced by yourself with hidden snap buttons, making it much more reassuring to wear. But if you want to wear this set for long-term activities at an anime convention, I don't highly recommend wearing the original version directly, because you have to keep looking down to adjust your clothes when taking photos, which truly ruins the experience.

Overall, this costume has its shining moments in visual accuracy, but there is indeed quite a large room for improvement in quality control and sizing design. I hope my personal test can provide a bit of reference for everyone who wants to buy this set—cultivate interest rationally, and remodel it reasonably.
