[Shigure Ui Cosplay] Sun-Drenched Classroom Gym Uniform Photoset

While sorting through my computer stock, I stumbled upon this Shigure Ui gym uniform cosplay photoset. This group of photos was shot in a traditionally wood-furnished classroom. It was cloudless that day, and the sunlight spilled into the room through the translucent white curtains, instantly overlaying the entire scene with a bright, soft filter.

I paired this look with the iconic twintails hair accessories, with two white plush balls hanging behind my ears, making my head-to-shoulder ratio look much cuter. For the outfit, I chose a white short-sleeved athletic top with navy trim and matching shorts, white over-the-knee socks for the lower body, plus these red-and-white leather shoes and the red schoolbag on my back, giving it a very Japanese campus feel. The fine print detail on the toe of the shoes not only recreated the setting but also became an excellent element for close-up shots during filming.

In terms of shooting poses, we primarily used desks and benches for the composition. I sat on the edge of two desks pushed together, slightly turning my body or crossing my legs with my hands naturally resting on my knees, mimicking that lazy vibe during recess. There was also a row of wooden lockers in the classroom, a white-painted air conditioner next to them, and a blackboard and wooden speakers in the back. Although these props and backgrounds couldn't be fully brought into the frame, the sense of space created using them gave the photos a strong sense of storytelling.

The color tone of this stock photoset retains the translucent highlight look of the sunlight pouring in. I groomed the wig to be very smooth beforehand, and combined with the hair accessories, brow, and eye makeup, I hoped to recreate the character's refreshing and cute temperament. The communication with the photographer during the campus photography session was very smooth and I felt very relaxed, so I am extremely satisfied with the final output.

Because the outfit is an athletic wear type, the overall posture needs to be natural and not stiff; knees together or slightly apart both shot different feelings. The wood-colored walls and chairs, paired with the white, blue, and red color contrast, are visually very comfortable. Digging out this stock now, I can still remember every bit of shooting in the classroom that day; the feeling of the sun hitting my face made me feel very warm, as if I had truly returned to my student days. This is probably the charm of Anime cosplay—being able to freeze the vitality of that moment with a lens.

The light in the photos is a key element of this photoset. The sunlight not only illuminated the character but also pulled a soft rim light behind me. I deliberately maintained a natural sitting posture during the shoot, and the over-the-knee socks and shoes on my legs formed a beautiful line extension in the frame. Recreations using this gym uniform also required considering many details, such as the piping on the neckline, the ribbing on the cuffs, and the length proportion of the shorts, all to wear out a beautiful yet comfortable effect. The final output not only has cute elements but also carries a hint of campus purity. I hope friends who see this work can also feel this simple and pure atmosphere.
