Challenging Master from Goddess of Victory this time, the overall Atmosphere is indeed very on point. To restore this highly recognizable pirate-style outfit, I put a lot of thought into the texture of the fabric and the details of the accessories. Especially that iconic pirate hat, the heavy feeling and metallic texture it presents under the light and shadow are grasped just right. The shooting scene was chosen in a textured Vintage bar; the aged texture of the wood combined with the warm yellow point light source well set off the character's spirited yet slightly lazy personality.
During the shooting process, I kept thinking about how to express the character's unhurried temperament through the interweaving of light and shadow. In fact, every move of the character, with the cooperation of light and shadow, will produce different tension. The overall makeup and hair design balanced the color saturation, striving to improve the visual impact of the work without losing Character accuracy. Every detail is stacked to pursue that immersive character experience. In addition, I hope to convey a sense of story; the character is not just posing in front of the lens, but building the pirate world that belongs to her through the fine adjustment of eyes and the connection of actions. This constant deliberation in the process of restoration is exactly what is most attractive about Cosplay.
