Happy New Year's Eve! As we bid farewell to the old year and usher in the new, this photo set is officially ready for everyone. The character for this shoot is Dorothy from Goddess of Victory, combined with the unique fan-creation concept of "Peach Garden Feast" for the costume styling. The visual core of this look lies in its pink and white Chinese fantasy outfit style. The main white fabric, adorned with extensive lace and semi-transparent tulle, creates a soft color transition with the carefully styled peach-pink wig. The high-collared lace structure, paired with fine metal chains across the chest and hand ornaments, blends classical Chinese charm with the delicate aesthetic of modern anime.
The shoot took place in a retro Chinese-style studio. Dark brown carved wooden screens and room dividers, along with white calligraphy scrolls hanging in the background, set a grounded cultural tone. The gold ingots on the desk are not only a festive New Year symbol, but also highlight the opulent and elegant aura of the overall look. I especially love the leg details in this design: a white short skirt featuring layered ruffled trim, paired with pure white lace stockings, creating very sleek lines. Around the ankles are white pointed-toe heels decorated with pearl chains, with every detail tying together perfectly.
As for the makeup, I chose pinkish-purple colored contacts to enhance the clarity of my gaze. The eyeshadow highlights the brow bone and under-eye area, adding depth through shimmering textures. Paired with soft pink blush and translucent peach lip gloss, the makeup remains clean and light, bringing out the luster of the bright pink wig. I worked in great sync with the photographer, who focused on capturing the texture of the outfit under warm interior light—bringing out both the lightness of the semi-transparent tulle and the delicate patterns of the lace.
For the poses in this shoot, I intentionally kept things relaxed yet body-accentuating. Extended sitting poses, along with gently resting my hand against my cheek or neck, prevented the images from looking rigid while naturally outlining the cut of the dress and the character's elegance. Since this is a fan-creation concept, I referenced Dorothy's calm and gentle demeanor for my expressions, striving to capture her character within my performance. Though there are still small details that could be improved, overall I am quite satisfied with this presentation of "Peach Garden Feast."
Launching this set today on New Year's Eve is my way of sharing a visual treat through these photos filled with festive Chinese elements. The gentle pink and white tones, combined with warm yellow ambient light, really enhance the cozy holiday feel. I hope everyone viewing these photos can feel the care poured into the costume and props, as well as the joyful atmosphere of the Spring Festival. In the new year, may your lives be as gentle and bright as the colors in these photos.
