This Kiana Kaslana cosplay from Honkai Impact 3rd was highly interesting throughout the entire process from makeup setup to final photos.

Let's start with the hairstyle and wig. The white hair is a very distinct feature, so I specially picked a wig with silver-white strands and thinned out the roots. To make the bangs fit the forehead naturally, I trimmed the layers into slanted bangs and side pieces, which frames the face nicely. For that iconic ahoge (cowlick) on top of the head, I clamped an invisible hair support at the root to keep it upright yet curved even in an indoor static state. The most time-consuming part was the thick single braid on the side. The white hair fibers are quite stiff and prone to tangles and frizz, so I used a lot of setting spray to smooth out the strands and braided it several times to make its drape in front of the chest look natural and full. The black and orange headband also took a lot of thought; to prevent it from looking awkwardly pressed on my head, I added a hidden anti-slip pad inside to let it blend more naturally with the hair, making it a perfect look for a white-haired beautiful girl.

The eye makeup and facial texture were also key focus points this time. I used bright blue, high-saturation contact lenses. To highlight this clarity, I kept the eye makeup minimalist, using off-white and earthy tones to transition the eye sockets, only emphasizing the eyeliner and upturned eyelashes. The sunflower eyelashes are the soul, as Kiana's gaze in the anime and game is usually bright and high-spirited. The foundation pursued a clean and fair look, paired with a coral-toned lip gloss to echo the overall skin tone with the white-black-orange outfit.

Regarding the costume, this hooded jacket is very eye-catching. The white base with black color-blocking, supplemented by bright orange blocks and zipper edges, creates a strong visual impact. The round cyan-green decorative button below the collar is a finishing touch, enriching the collar's layers. The inner wear is a slim-fit style, featuring an orange-red gradient strip and a deep V-neck design across the chest, paired with a black choker to elongate the neck lines while adding a hint of subtle sexiness to this sporty vibe. I chose a matte, smooth material for the jacket so it wouldn't cause glaring reflections under soft light, giving it a more premium texture.

For the shooting environment, I didn't choose a complex backdrop; I just used a plain wall at home and natural light. The soft curtain-filtered light around 2 PM spilled in, which could clearly capture the delicate texture of the skin while leaving just the right shadows on the face, avoiding a flat look. I intentionally combined different states for these four photos. The first photo with a thumbs-up aims to convey that confident and slightly playful spirit; the second one with a slight head tilt looking toward the upper side captures her relaxed, contemplative moment; the third one looks straight into the lens with a front face, displaying her more steady side; the last one is a close-up mirror selfie to enhance the casual, everyday lifestyle feel.

As a cosplayer, when recreating a character, we are not just wearing identical clothes, but also capturing that fresh life force within the character. When playing the game normally, I really admire Kiana's forward-dashing personality, so during the shoot, I would intentionally recall those vivid, proud, and slightly stubborn expressions from the game plot. Although this outfit has bright colors, it is actually very lightweight to wear, allowing effortless movement without any restrictions, making it highly suitable for participating in future comic conventions or outdoor shoots.

Shooting this kind of daily-style home photo has the benefit of being able to adjust one's state at any time without the pressure of studio lighting and time constraints. Bringing the lens closer and maintaining eye contact makes this character become even more vivid. The overall white tone with orange accents gives a refreshing and energetic visual sensation. I hope sharing this relaxed shooting process and the finished photos can let everyone feel another side of this character's charm, which is exactly where the greatest joy of cosplay lies in our 2D exploration.
