The venue for this shoot was a specially built indoor water studio, with an expansive pure blue backdrop and draped semi-sheer blue gauze used to simulate deep waters or an extremely frigid environment in a Blue theme setting. The main props included bleached withered trees and rock-like pedestals, with the bottom flooded with water to enhance the depth of the scene through reflections. Because the overall palette leaned cool, we deliberately added a warm yellow side-backlight so that the textures of the feathers and garment had a sharper contrast between light and dark.

Regarding the outfit, the hem of the primary white gown features geometric patterns and tassels, and its opaque fabric catches the warm lighting beautifully. The layered black cloak has a weighted drape, with distressed edging and tassels that create dynamic movement when walking. The fur collar was spliced with faux feathers, which, along with the black stockings at the hem of the skirt, delivered fantastic texture under cool light in this Black stockings cosplay showcase. For jewelry, I chose a necklace adorned with blue-green beads and bells, which, paired with the metallic hair accessories along the bangs, provided delicate accents. For makeup and styling, deep blue lip glaze and matching eyeshadow were chosen to harmonize with the background.

During the shoot, camera height had to be strictly managed to capture the water reflections—especially when framing full-body shots in the water, the completeness of the reflection determined the entire atmosphere. For sitting poses, raising one hand helped elongate the body lines, which, combined with the withered tree branches, added a touch of solemn ritualism. While adjusting the lighting, we tested the light distribution across my face and hair to ensure the warm light didn't make the blue lip glaze look jarring. The overall concept was to accentuate the character's cool and aloof aura through the contrast of warm and cold tones, utilizing the water surface to extend the visual space.
