[Ereshkigal cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Space Ereshkigal Summer Outfit Photoshoot Log

For this Fate/Grand Order Ereshkigal photoshoot, I took on the Space Ereshkigal Summer Ereshkigal concept. We originally planned an outdoor shoot at the beach, but due to rain, we naturally switched to an indoor session. Indoor lighting is relatively flat, lacking some of the dimensional light and shadow of the outdoors, yet it allows the makeup details and costume textures to shine through with greater clarity.

Starting with the makeup and styling: to faithfully recreate the character, I chose highly translucent red contact lenses paired with elongated winged eyeliner and distinct high-placed blush, giving my gaze more vitality before the lens. Styling the blonde twin-tail wig was quite time-consuming; both sides needed volumizing before securing the red bows and attaching the black bat hair accessory. The pairing of the white halter top with the blue-and-white ruffled miniskirt gave the overall color palette a bright, refreshing look. The metallic ring on the chest and the tying method for the vibrant blue long scarf were adjusted repeatedly to match the original design closely.

The shooting process was fairly relaxed: the first two shots were close-up portraits focused on facial expressions, while the third was a mirror selfie to capture the full-body effect. During the mirror selfie, a light blue heart graphic was added over the legs due to composition framing—a minor imperfection that inadvertently added a fun 2D touch. For this swimsuit look, the subtle wildness of Space Ereshkigal is nicely balanced by the swimwear, where the crimson eyes and golden hair make the styling adorable with a hint of cheekiness. Preparation was detailed—shaping the wig, managing contact lens wear time, and smoothing out clothing creases before shooting were all essential to ensure high efficiency on set. In post-processing, natural skin tones were preserved while intentionally enhancing the red eye makeup and lips to draw the visual focus to the eyes. I'm very pleased with the overall atmosphere captured in this set; even without the seaside backdrop, it beautifully conveyed the character's intended aesthetic charm.
