[Moria Ruruka cosplay] Dreamy Magic Under the Moonlit Night: Detective Precure!

With this Moria Ruruka series, I wanted to share our styling details and behind-the-scenes insights. The costume features a classic black, purple, and white palette, rich with ruffles along the neckline and bodice that required meticulous layering to support the gown's silhouette. To flatter the leg lines, I chose deep Purple pantyhose with delicate openwork lace motifs across the thighs, paired with glossy black patent platform Mary Janes. This visually elongated my proportions while perfectly harmonizing with the magical girl aesthetic.

For hair and makeup, I wore elongated elf ears, a blonde wig, and a star-shaped purple crown headpiece over my forehead. To match Moria Ruruka's whimsical lore, the makeup featured pinkish-purple blended eyeshadow and a vibrant red lip, infusing my gaze with a touch of playfulness. The props were fantastic: the long purple wand felt substantial in hand, with intricate detailing on the crown ring and crimson ribbon bow. The cute blue-purple plush mascot served as the crowning accent—holding it in my arms or resting it on the platform added charming visual balance.

The studio set was styled with a Dreamy backdrop in purple and white, framed by a massive luminous white moon, purple floral arrangements, Roman pillars, and draped ground fabrics whose textured folds produced lovely light reflections. Posing was an ongoing exploration: sitting cross-legged cradling the plush in Photo 1 spotlighted the purple tights with maxed-out ambiance; standing poses lifting one leg while framing an eye with my hand or pointing the wand forward radiated spunky, energetic charm. The on-set lighting incorporated pink-purple fill lamps, enveloping the frame in a rich, dreamy glow. This soft chiaroscuro faithfully captured the character's enchanting aura as she weaves magic beneath the moonlit night.
