[Kochiya Sanae Cosplay] Touhou Project Fanon Outfit Fitting Record

This time I tried on this Touhou fanon outfit for Kochiya Sanae Cosplay, taking some simple mirror selfies at home for a fitting record. First, regarding the wig: the mint green wig with long straight hair feels very smooth, giving off a whitish luster under the lights. The white flower hairpiece on top is securely fastened with a clip and didn't tilt or slip while walking during the fitting—the construction was done quite carefully. The silver-white pendant on the chest is the core of the entire outfit, combining metallic texture with acrylic pieces. Its hanging multi-layered tassels add dynamic beauty, and its weight is just right so it doesn't pull down on the neckline. The inner skirt uses a dark green base color with delicate dark embroidery patterns; tightening the waist belt beautifully defines body proportions, creating a distinct sense of layering when paired with the sheer outer cape. The sheer tulle cape is edged with a full line of lace trim in a lightweight fabric—with just a gentle breeze or light sway of the skirt hem, the entire cape floats like a misty veil, fitting the ethereal Touhou fanon style exceptionally well. For hand-held props, I paired two items: one shaped like a long sword with white ornaments and a lanyard, and another long decorative handle featuring a mirror surface. The sword hilt bears matching white ribbons and pendants, where orange-yellow accents on the tassels keep the main green-and-white color palette from looking monotonous. Before fitting, I was worried that combining all-white with blue-green would look dull indoors, but under ample natural light, the colors actually turned out very translucent. Since I was trying it on at home, I tested it barefoot directly on the wooden floor. While walking around, the inner skirt hem and sheer tulle interwoven together, clearly showing leg contours—giving the overall look both classical dignity and the lightness of a Chinese style Lolita feel. Touhou Project's fanon intrinsically offers vast creative space; this green-and-white fitting record happens to showcase the character's fantasy charm in doujin works, adding a softer mood compared to the canon design. Although taking mirror selfies blocked some angles with my phone, one can still get a general sense of the whole ensemble. The craftsmanship and details of the outfit are spot-on, especially the drape of the cape—draped over the arm when gathered, it looks like a semi-transparent pouch, yet when worn, it spreads out like wings. Lastly, I must mention the grip feel of the props; although they look bulky, they are actually very lightweight and don't cause fatigue even after holding them for a long time. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this fitting experience. The style of Touhou fanon outfits indeed brings many visual surprises beyond original character designs.
