This photoshoot features Reimu Hakurei from Touhou Project, a classic Japanese style shrine maiden icon in the hearts of many longtime anime fans. A lot of thought went into the design and craftsmanship of this outfit, featuring a red-and-white color scheme enhanced by cascading ruffles, lace, and jacquard fabrics for a truly gorgeous visual effect. However, splendor often comes at a price—the entire gear, complete with headpieces and thick-soled geta sandals, feels quite heavy in practice. Securing the headpiece in particular takes extra effort to keep it from tilting out of place while walking around.

The location chosen was a night-view spot with a Japanese-style garden aesthetic, surrounded by pink flowering trees, wooden bridges, rockeries, and ponds. The night atmosphere was exceptionally strong, with wooden lanterns casting a warm, gentle yellow glow that blended with the colors of the blossom trees for a quiet, dreamlike feel. A large glowing orb was specially arranged on the water's surface to simulate a full moon, adding a touch of eerie yet serene Oriental fantasy that closely mirrors Gensokyo.

My outfit this time was paired with white lace short socks and geta sandals—a common combination for Japanese style shrine maiden or fantasy character portrayals, but wearing open-thigh attire on a sub-zero night was an absolute test of limits. As a so-called 'anti-season warrior,' standing on the wooden bridge for just ten minutes made me shiver uncontrollably. To achieve that light, jumping dynamic in the frame—such as standing on one leg or tossing ribbons in the air—I repeated poses numerous times. Toward the end, my legs were nearly numb with cold, and keeping my form relied entirely on willpower.
