[Komeiji Satori cosplay] Touhou Project Convention Photo Sharing

Getting straight to the point: the convention photos of this Komeiji Satori cosplay from Guangzhou Touhou Only are finally retouched! As everyone knows, convention halls are notoriously crowded with complex lighting. Fortunately, photographer Sakuya is very experienced, utilizing backlighting to resolve the cluttered background and keep the focus entirely on the subject, delivering clean compositions even amidst the bustling crowd. Preparing this entire outfit took a long time, especially the third-eye prop with red cords on the chest. To give it great texture while keeping it easy to wear and remove, I adjusted the mounting position several times to balance upper-body weight without restricting arm movement too much, though it still limited my range of motion slightly. The wig was short pink hair trimmed with curled-in ends, paired with pink contact lenses for a unified makeup palette. The outfit was a pink-and-blue Lolita dress with intricate lace at the neckline and detailed prints on the skirt, tightly stitched with rich layering and overlaid with translucent mesh sleeves. The fabric's breathability was average, making the stuffiness quite noticeable in the convention environment. For an event, this costume was actually quite heavy; standing for long periods made my shoulders ache, so I took deliberate rests during the shoot. The seated photos were taken in a much more comfortable state; since the skirt design naturally exposes the legs, I went bare-legged without stockings to highlight leg lines, pairing with the long red cords while angling my body slightly on the chair to elongate my silhouette. During shooting, I coordinated eye contact with the photographer repeatedly; these extraordinary red pupils paired with the bizarre chest prop looked especially striking under backlight, naturally evoking a distinct doll-like feel. The abundant lace pleats and elaborate ruffles on the chest and hem created some drag when walking around. To better showcase the styling, I frequently kept a distant, detached gaze. I'm very satisfied with the final result—a sweet blue-and-pink aesthetic concealing a slightly grotesque prop, creating a contrast that perfectly matches my original intent for portraying this character. To wrap up without getting overly sentimental, my trip to Guangzhou Touhou Only was truly an exhausting yet joyful Cosplay photography experience.
