The collar stiffness on this outfit is pretty solid, and the silver V-shaped armor on the chest carries noticeable weight—the moment I received it, the texture felt spot on. The black, white, and red color-blocking is classic, especially the cutout design at the chest, which requires adjusting the internal support when putting it on to prevent it from collapsing. Today was mainly for a makeup test; to complement this styling, I went with a slightly heavier pink-purple blush and pink lip glaze to appear fairer on camera. Heterochromia was the highlight this time: bright blue colored contacts for the left eye and brownish hazel for the right—this asymmetrical contrast gives the gaze a sharp, intense look. However, wearing them made my eyes feel a bit dry, so I used eye drops several times during this Makeup test sharing session. The wig is silver-white heat-resistant fiber; that iconic ahoge sticking up on top was tricky to fix, requiring plenty of hairspray and blow-drying to hold its shape.
During shooting, I tried several different angles; half-body shots best showcased overall proportions, especially the silhouette across the chest. Since there was no leg showcase in the frame, the entire focus went into the upper-body texture and styling. The silver spikes on the gloves look very realistic but restrict finger mobility, so I relied mostly on the back of my hand to support props. The silver metal buckle and chain details on the red tie also showed up clearly on camera. For lighting, clean frontal white light perfectly captured the cool tones of the outfit, while adding a splash of red or pink light to the face gave the clothes a strong cyberpunk aesthetic.
This look features numerous buckles and zippers, taking nearly twenty minutes to put on and take off. Since it's intended for outdoor shoots or conventions, I specifically tested whether the hair and armor would wobble while walking—the overall stability passed the test. Setting powder was applied generously to keep the makeup from sweating off. Being more of a homebody, I rarely post updates like this, but I found the Void Ranger 2D design truly special and loved it so much that I wanted to carefully document the details of this Kiana cosplay test. The straps on the props pinched my wrists slightly and might need adjustment later. Increasing the focal length for close-ups made facial makeup look much softer.
