The maid outfit convention photos of Velvet taken at the Beijing iDo Anime Convention today are finally exported!

The character I cosplayed this time is Velvet from Goddess of Victory: Nikke, featuring her maid outfit theme. The top is made of black fabric with gold hot-stamped patterns, designed with a halter neck and crisscrossing thin pink straps at the collar. To faithfully recreate the design, a bright pink half-apron edged with white lace was tied at the waist, layered over black tight-fitting shorts with black lace hems. The focal point of the lower body is a pair of sheer black stockings featuring a distinct back seam—that line down the back really elongates the leg shape, though wearing them requires extra caution as they snag easily. On my feet were black open-toe high heels, which made my legs look exceptionally long in full-body shots. The wig is a custom-styled long pink curly wig pinned with a white lace hairpiece on top. For makeup, light blue contact lenses were used, paired with deep-contoured eye makeup and pink lipstick.

For props, my right hand held a pink menu board with a metal clip, printed with 'Menu' and several lines of cursive script, while my left hand held a black feather duster. These two props offered wonderful interactivity when posing; as I gave the feather duster a little flick, the wig fluttered along with the motion, which photographer @本杰明📷 (Convention Ver.) captured with remarkable precision. The venue was a classic exhibition center with dense circular overhead ceiling lights. A wide aperture blurred out the crowds in the background, while the reflective floor mirrored the subject alongside the overhead lights.

To maintain attractive poses, I spent the entire shoot engaging my core and pointing my toes. Since I was wearing shorts paired with back-seamed stockings, the slightest relaxation would make the thighs appear thicker, so I constantly recalibrated my center of gravity during the shoot. The heels were extremely high, leaving my feet completely sore after a whole day, but the resulting photos turned out fantastic—the grey-toned background created by the wide aperture made the pink hair and outfit stand out vibrantly. When walking around the hall holding the menu board, some people even mistook me for an exhibitor handing out flyers or selling themed catering, coming over to ask for directions and food, which was quite amusing. The air inside the convention hall was dry, making the wig prone to static electricity, so I had to touch it up several times with hair serum. Because the delicate lace trim on the garment snagged easily, I barely dared to sit down, resting either by standing or leaning gently against the wall. Overall, this is an outfit that demands constant mindfulness of posture and details. Although exhausting, I genuinely love this refined design. It's getting late now, time to pack up and head back to take off my makeup.
