[Sunna cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Angels of Delusion Sunna: Sweet and cool collision of pink-and-white stripes and black leather

The absolute highlight of this Angels of Delusion Sunna look from Zenless Zone Zero lies in its intense color contrast. A white puff-sleeve collared blouse paired with a crimson star-patterned tie sits above a glossy, tiered black ruffled miniskirt, complemented by pink-and-white striped arm warmers and slouch socks to craft a distinctly sweet-and-cool subculture edge.

Regarding the wig and makeup, the pale lime-blonde wavy wig required extensive pre-shoot trimming and sculpting. The elevation of the twin tails demanded careful calibration—neither set too high to look jarring nor too low to lose youthful bounce. A mint-green headband served as a bright visual accent at the crown. Across the bangs, assorted hairpins of differing textures and shapes were curated—black oval clips, decorative pink and blue barrettes, and a clip resembling a mini electronic device—to heighten the character's playful personality. For makeup, large-diameter hazel-amber contact lenses were essential; combined with defined anime lash clusters and under-eye blush, they enlarged ocular proportions and sculpted bone structure before the lens, serving as a critical makeup technique in cosplay photography.

Suiting up with these detailed accessories took considerable time. The black leather choker needed to sit flush against the neck without pinching. Pink-and-white striped fingerless sleeves enveloped the forearms, contrasted by black leather armbands on the biceps and a studded black leather garter on the right thigh adorned with a mint-green bow. The layered stacking between the white thigh-high Stockings and the pink-and-white striped leg warmers required repeated fine-tuning, while the garter tension had to be dialed in strictly to prevent skin pinching during crouching poses. White sneakers anchored the footwear, maintaining cohesive street-style flair.

The shoot took place inside a meticulously styled kitchen set in Huizhou. Pastel pink-and-blue checkered floor tiles, macaron-hued cabinetry adorned with star-shaped knobs, a faux strawberry shortcake display on the counter, and vintage bakery prints along the wall completed the scene. Warm light streaming through wooden blinds established a cozy, inviting ambiance. The photographer demonstrated superb lighting expertise: soft, high-key illumination washed across the figure, pulling out the glossy texture of the black skirt while making the pink-and-white striped accents pop.

For posing, I explored two contrasting attitudes. The crouching stance in image 1 conveyed a quiet, demure charm—resting my chin in both hands with elbows propped across my knees, locking a direct gaze with the camera. This pose heavily tested core balance, as any wobble risked motion blur. The standing pose in image 2 leaned far more spirited, flashing double peace signs beside my head to showcase the complete ensemble—especially the layered slouch socks and thigh garter details—filling the composition with kinetic fullness.

In terms of environmental balance, macaron-toned backdrops can easily overwhelm a scene with excessive sweetness, yet the glossy black skirt immediately anchored and grounded the palette. The crimson tie and mint headband acted as lively accent tones, guiding the viewer's eye rhythmically across the frame. In the standing pose of image 2, visual flow travels smoothly from the mint headband and assorted barrettes down through the red tie, across the striped sleeves, and finally to the stacked leg warmers and white kicks, ensuring balanced weight distribution throughout.

This look features an extraordinary chromatic dynamic, where the softness of pastel pink and white collides against the sharp edge of black leather. Throughout the shoot, I focused on capturing her quirky, charming, yet subtly cool persona. Every detail—from styling coordination to physical attitude—was crafted to give the character three-dimensional life. More than a cosplay endeavor, this series showcases the beauty of the design while preserving the creative joy shared between the Huizhou female photographer and myself.
