Throughout this Guizhiruoshui cosplay shoot, I continuously explored a unique expressive approach to convey Xishi's gentle grace and dynamic charm. As this is a fan-made doujin concept with certain deviations from the official design, I would like to apologize in advance for any OOC (out-of-character) elements. For the hair and makeup, special focus was placed on the long silver-grey wig, the dragon horn headpieces atop the head, and pale purple contact lenses, paired with an eye makeup look featuring shimmering water-ripple effects to project a cool yet subtly innocent aura on camera. The outfit features a blue-and-white dress with a sweetheart neckline, layered ruffles on the skirt, and sheer tulle arm sleeves that create a graceful drape and flow with every movement. My favorite part of the styling was the leg coordination: wearing skin-tone Stockings refined the leg lines with a soft matte finish under studio lighting, while light blue ribbon bows and seashell accessories tied around the ankles visually elongated the legs, adding an exquisite, sweet Anime cosplay flair that felt remarkably lively. To recreate the flowing water ambiance of Guizhiruoshui, an oiled-paper umbrella with pink floral patterns on a blue base was prepared as the central prop. The photographer put immense care into the set design, choosing red maple leaves and verdant bamboo as the backdrop; the expansive warm orange hues formed a striking visual contrast with the cool white tones of the costume, accentuating garment details. While posing on the wooden bench, I deliberately took off the white high heels to refine the leg lines, adjusting between crossed and extended legs to find the optimal angles that showcased the Stockings and ribbon details. The sheer fabrics, ties, and tassels swayed naturally during motion, capturing the exact dynamic quality I aimed for. Although maintaining the character's ethereal yet approachable presence required constant posture and expression adjustments, the final images perfectly matched my vision for this dragon-themed concept. From costume preparation to lighting control, the photographer's guidance and candid captures were impeccable, yielding a series that reflects my personal Anime cosplay aesthetic. Within the Honor of Kings universe, Xishi holds many captivating facets worth portraying, and this Guizhiruoshui interpretation remains a personal favorite doujin chapter.
