"LV.999 form, the complete me—hmph, first time seeing it, right?" This max-level form of Silver Wolf from Honkai: Star Rail took two full months from custom tailoring to final photo delivery, and today I can finally share the intricate styling details with everyone in depth.
First, talking about the core combat outfit: underneath is a white cropped tight-fitting top baring the midriff, featuring gradient graffiti lettering across the chest, a black choker, and zipper styling at the neckline, spliced with purple sleeves and numerous techwear metal buckles. The outer black leather jacket was tailored from custom PU leather, delivering a premium texture under studio lights while incorporating purple paneling and reflective piping. To capture that authentic Cyberpunk vibe from the game, I added an array of asymmetrical armor modules along the junction between the waist and shorts, rimmed with glowing blue light strips. A blue polka-dot ribbon with black dots was tied at the side of the waist, creating a playful contrast against the cold mechanical armor. For the lower half, matching the aura of a max-level pro, I styled tactical over-the-knee socks with fishnet elements and kneepads, where the metallic sheen of the armor nicely sculpted the leg lines for this Stockings cosplay look.
The props were absolute showstoppers. The black goggles pushed up on my head were custom-ordered from a prop maker, crafted with diamond-facet refraction effects and antenna-like mechanical pieces on both sides to anchor securely to the wig. The heavy mechanical gauntlet on my right arm housed an internal cooling fan, with lit red and green LED indicators instantly maxing out futuristic vibes. The colossal mechanical wing-blades and heavy weapon on the right served as the very soul of this styling. To allow the wings to display a spread-out effect during shooting, the bracket was concealed inside the garment; the weapon body was assembled from painted ABS boards edged with fluorescent purple-blue acrylic strips and wired with hidden cables, making it appear as though digital energy were coursing through it. In the second and third photos, when this greatsword crossed before the camera alongside the back mechanical wings, the visual intimidation became palpable.
For hair and makeup, the wig featured a silver-grey to pale-blue gradient with subtle metallic luster, and the long, wispy bangs were specifically trimmed to veil part of the forehead. High-pigment ice-blue contact lenses were selected, the eye makeup was deepened with elongated wings, and a natural pale-red lip tint completed a cold yet effortless, languid aura. To keep the face from looking flat under cool light sources, soft fill light illuminated the front while a blue rim light framed the side. The backdrop was draped in crumpled silver reflective material, creating sparkling diamond-like bokeh spots under the lighting that echoed the goggles' texture.
In terms of poses and expressions, to stay faithful to the in-game lore, I steered clear of overly sweet looks. Resting a hand on the goggles, gazing levelly into the lens, or lifting the heavy weapon with one hand all emphasized the character's icy calm and haughty pride. Shooting this set with all the heavy gear and props—especially the mechanical arm on my right side—required realigning the weapon angle with every single pose change. While the process was exhausting, seeing the rich texture and immaculate mood in the final shots made every bit of effort worthwhile.
