[Silver Wolf cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Stellaron Hunters Anime Convention High-Temperature Outdoor Shoot Record

Showing the state of going on missions with different characters, this time I worked with close friends to build the Stellaron Hunters team. Before going, I heard many friends complaining that this Chengdu Anime Convention had no indoor venue, but thinking we had already made plans, we pushed through the heat anyway. The reality was that the outdoor setting was truly unbearable; I'm never going to an anime convention without an indoor venue again—seriously, I learned my lesson. The heat index outdoors this time was absurd, and standing outside in this leather outfit for even a short while had me sweating profusely.

Fortunately, our lineup this time was super solid—the Stellaron Hunters were fully present. Ah Kong's Blade maintained a very steady aura, looking completely natural even standing at the edge, capturing that coldness perfectly. Xiao Maomao's Firefly had that mechanical contrast-cuteness, with silver-white long hair paired with a blue-and-white dress that held great texture under both dark studio backdrops and scattered convention lighting. Qiuqiu's Kafka was the real star of this shoot; her red hair, purple-black sunglasses, pink gloves, and jacket were extremely eye-catching. Particularly her full-body stance paired with pink stockings and black boots elongated overall lines as part of a Stocking outfit, creating a neat split-frame composition alongside Silver Wolf cosplay.

Strong natural sunlight outdoors really tests makeup; harsh overhead light outside easily makes facial features look flat. Luckily, our photographer Bei Ye was extremely professional, helping us find shaded corners around the convention all afternoon and using reflectors to assist with adjustments. Our group spent the afternoon tossing around on the boiling outdoor concrete, switching through several standing positions and interaction poses. Especially that final two-person wide leg stance and the pose looking down at the tablet turned out with a great casual vibe while fitting the character personalities nicely.

As the Silver Wolf cosplayer, my makeup and costume this time achieved a pretty great restoration. The blue-and-white checkered bow hair accessory paired with goggles, along with the black-and-blue cropped jacket and white belt, was insanely hot in summer. However, seeing the camera display that techwear aesthetic full of cyberpunk vibes made all the effort feel completely worth it. We also swapped between several interactive poses during the shoot, such as extending a hand forward alongside Firefly to guide the way, which effectively conveyed the atmospheric synergy of a sci-fi squad. Although assembling the prop weapon was tedious, holding it while wearing the goggles instantly put me right into character.

When taking group photos, everyone relied mostly on instinct, avoiding stiffness from overly forced posing. Since we were already good friends teaming up, everyone felt very relaxed. In the horizontal shot paired with Blade, I bit a lollipop while he folded his arms with a cold face, giving a fun sense of old teammates bantering. In the photo with Kafka, I looked down at an electronic device while she gestured with one hand, evoking an instant sense of in-game comms and tactical command.

Because it was an outdoor anime convention with many passersby and other cosplayers around, integrating these real-world surroundings actually gave the photos a documentary-like feel. Compared to a pure indoor studio, backgrounds carrying a strong pulse of real life and genuine convention scenes sometimes make the photo set feel much more grounded and alive. However, I sincerely advise that for fully armed setups with complete props and wigs like ours, if we ever run into a convention without an indoor venue again, I'll seriously consider whether to participate—otherwise, preventing heatstroke is impossible.

I have to admit this outfit is an absolute steamer in summer, but we still persevered to complete our Stellaron Hunters team gathering successfully. Behind every photo were our efforts continuously searching for angles, wiping sweat, and touching up makeup on Chengdu's sweltering streets. Photographer Bei Ye carried his camera running with us all afternoon in the high heat; huge thanks for his stamina in capturing this series of shots for us. Mission accomplished this time; next time we meet, hopefully we choose a place with air conditioning—this outdoor shoot truly drained all my energy. Ultimately, gathering together to enjoy cosplay and seeing all these characters in one frame is an immensely fulfilling feeling.
