A seaside photoshoot in summer always carries an impulse of freedom, and this time I brought Robin into this miniature beach studio. To convey the relaxed, cozy feel of the beach from the original setting, this summer swimsuit-themed concept simplified makeup and styling, leaning toward a refreshing vacation look. The wig features a soft light blue-and-purple gradient styled into fluffy, gently curled loose waves, which, paired with the floating metallic star-orbit halo prop overhead, instantly created clear character recognition.
For the outfit, a white base bikini-style top was chosen, embellished with blue starbursts and wave-like prints, paired with a bright blue skirt with a silky texture. The skirt's natural drape nicely mimics the effect of a breeze blowing through, while sunflower and white daisy accessories at the waist make the look visually bright and bursting with summer vitality. For shoes, I specifically picked white strappy high-heeled sandals; the delicate straps wrapping up to the calves effectively elongate leg lines, making overall body proportions appear sleeker while matching the casual feel of a beach getaway.
This set of photos was shot in an indoor real-scene studio. Although indoors, the set arrangement was meticulously executed. Yellow-and-white sun parasols, black-and-white striped wooden beach chairs, surfboards printed with "SUMMER," and even wooden crates and red-and-white lifebuoys were placed in logically sound positions. On the table were artificial grape bunches, watermelon slices, and ice cream cone props; the stacking of these detailed elements under studio lighting truly created the illusion of being right by the sea. Studio lights were very strong on the day of shooting, making it especially important for the cosplayer to maintain a refreshing facial expression and natural posture, particularly when generating a dynamic breeze-blown movement across hair strands and garments during Cosplay photography.
During the shoot, I sat on the chair and tried several different postures. For instance, curling up while hugging my knees on the beach chair not only showcased the refreshing summer outfit style, but also captured a very natural interactive feel. Holding the microphone prop adorned with white wings, or posing with small ice cream props on the table, tied tightly into the "vacation" and "sea breeze" ambiance. In Cosplay photography, beyond accurately recreating the character's appearance, the core is grasping the character's state under specific themes so photos don't look stiff. Within this blue-and-white main color palette, paired with cute sunflowers and stars, the sunlight was clean and the ocean breeze felt light—I hope to convey this relaxed and joyful summer energy. Though every photoshoot process is hardworking, seeing the final photos makes this visual coolness deeply worth capturing.
