Let's dive into the details of this shoot. This time, I cosplayed the swimsuit look of La Pluma (La Pluma cosplay) from Arknights (La Pluma - "Summer Flowers FA210"). Since this was primarily presented in a Selfie format, the location was set indoors to avoid complex outdoor lighting interference, relying mainly on the smartphone front-facing camera and ambient indoor light. Before shooting, I prepared the dark wig, double side buns, yellow floral hairpin, and white wing-shaped hairpins on both sides according to the character design. For props, I chose translucent cyan goggles and a red-and-white braided cord to stay as faithful to the original design as possible. La Pluma's swimsuit look consists of a light blue translucent outer jacket over a white top; the cut of the top is unique, requiring careful adjustment of the shoulder straps. While this outfit needs sun protection outdoors, an indoor Selfie allows for focusing on delicate nuances.

Because it's a selfie, straight-out-of-camera framing is heavily affected by the phone lens focal length, so most shots were limited to medium close-ups, with careful attention to centering the subject in the composition. For makeup, to complement the refreshing summer vibe, the eyeshadow leaned toward warm reddish-orange paired with prominent blush. Honestly, taking selfies alone at home is quite different from having someone photograph you at a convention. Without an external viewpoint, body language can become stiff and distort proportions. Finding the right angles took quite some time; the chin-resting pose in the second shot conveniently used the line of my arm to mask part of the facial shadows, with the brightness and white balance tuned softly for translucent skin texture. Additionally, the plastic sheen of the transparent jacket tends to reflect lighting easily, requiring angle adjustments to avoid harsh hotspots across the face. The fabric breathes well, preventing overheating indoors. The white top fabric is soft with heavy draping from accessories, requiring careful neckline maintenance beforehand.
