[Shu cosplay] Arknights: First of a Thousand Autumns, Gold and Red Sui Siblings New Spring Celebration

When shooting this New Spring project series, the studio was decorated in a vibrant and festive red palette, accented with golden ears of wheat, red lanterns, as well as gold bars, an abacus, red envelopes, and candied haws on the table—the whole environment truly captured the atmosphere of "First of a Thousand Autumns."

This time I cosplayed Shu from Arknights. To align with The Sui Siblings' New Spring theme, the outfit was specifically chosen as a modified white Hanfu, leaving plenty of open space around the shoulders, neck, and arms to beautifully accentuate body lines. Hair and makeup took considerable effort: the blue dragon horns, elf ear accessories, and the long blue-gold gradient wig took over half an hour just to detangle and style securely. The blue water-ripple body paint on the arms was hand-painted stroke by stroke by the makeup artist; large movements when sitting or standing risked smudging the paint, so I had to mind the angles of my arms throughout the shoot.

The photographer was fantastic at capturing interactive moments; with so many props, the entire shoot felt like playing a "sharing New Year blessings" game. Initially, I stood sideways amidst the ears of wheat, looking back over my shoulder with a handful of golden wheat; later, sitting on a mat, I cupped a red apple and offered it toward the camera, where the apple's red paired with the white tulle dress to create a striking visual contrast. In the close-up shot resting across the table holding a red envelope, leaning down highlighted the lines of my collarbones and chest, which, alongside scattered gold bars and the abacus, brought out an effortless, auspicious charm.

The photo chosen for the cover is actually my favorite. Posing kneeling on the plush mat, leaning slightly forward with both hands offering the red apple directly to you, my gaze meets the lens at eye level. Furthermore, because the dress features an off-the-shoulder design and a gently drawn-in seated pose, it revealed fair legs and graceful shoulder contours, harmonizing New Year festivity with just the right touch of elegance.

To capture this set well, we utilized practically every festive Spring Festival prop: the playful charm of holding red envelopes, the anticipation while holding candied haws, and the quiet serenity when alone are all preserved in this photo set. Truly bringing out the concept of "First of a Thousand Autumns" made all the thoughtful preparation worthwhile. I hope everyone who sees this can feel the warmth of The Sui Siblings and the rich New Year atmosphere.
