[Skadi the Corrupting Heart Cosplay] Arknights BW 2026 Stage Convention Photos - Image 1

On Day 1 of BW 2026, I took this photo with this Skadi the Corrupting Heart cosplay outfit in front of the Arknights booth. Let's start with the outfit. What I'm most satisfied with this time is the styling of the hat—the pointed hat paired with the cyan decorations, combined with the overall black, white, and red color scheme, creates a very strong visual contrast. The cut of the corset fits the body shape quite well, and the ruffles of the skirt hem and the black lining have been layered so it doesn't look bulky when walking around. I especially want to mention the boots and the hand armor pieces. The silver-grey metallic texture reflects beautifully under the convention's overhead ceiling lights. In particular, the cyan accents on the boots echo the decorations on the hat, delivering a complete sense of unity. The staff prop was also a key highlight this time. The shaft utilizes a substantial material, and the black-and-cyan molded piece at the top highly replicates the original design. Holding it in my hand acts as a great shooting prop and also provides support during standing poses, balancing my overall center of gravity.

The lighting conditions at the convention venue were much more professional than I expected. When that photography light with a softbox on the left cast over, the texture of the entire red and black outfit was beautifully brought out, especially the shadow handling on the cuff folds, avoiding a flat, washed-out white look. The Rhodes Island backdrop behind me also happened to frame a layered space. Combined with the greenery and white chairs, the entire scene layout blended remarkably well with the style of this outfit without overpowering it.

Truly wearing this outfit and walking around the convention all day was, honestly, quite a test of stamina. With the multiple fabric layers of this costume, plus the boots and props, maintaining a graceful posture and photogenic delivery in the crowded crowd heavily tested my physical strength and expression management. However, the vibe at BW was amazing. Many passing players who saw this look would proactively stop to acknowledge me or call out \"Didi\", making the whole convention experience feel completely maxed out.

I quite like the composition of this photo; it preserves the large Arknights logo above the booth and the English text for Rhodes Island below, keeping it highly recognizable without letting the background steal the show. The combination of red, black, and cyan on my body shows excellent color rendition under this slightly dark-toned overhead light, especially the lace along the edge of the skirt hem and the black folds at the cuffs—the captured outlines turned out sharper than expected. As for why I didn't choose other photos, I feel this one offers the most natural presentation. It avoids the rigidity of forced posing while fully showcasing my overall state, props, and costume details. I hope to bring this outfit to similar occasions next time to convey this visual texture from Rhodes Island, and I also hope more people can experience this concrete charm belonging to ACG culture at convention venues.

Lastly, talking about the shoot itself, getting great shots at offline conventions like BW heavily relies on both the environment and perfect chemistry with the photographer. The photographer's timing for this snapshot was perfect; the character didn't obscure key elements in the background, and the angle of the staff was just right, effortlessly lifting a corner of the hem to accidentally showcase the vivid dynamism of the character's attire. Overall, it was a very pleasant shooting experience and a precious moment left to me by BW 2026. Hope everyone enjoys this on-site vibe.
