When shooting this Tamamo no Mae cosplay photoshoot, I kept thinking about how to move the frame beyond mere accumulation and truly convey that enchanting and noble atmosphere. The throne, golden light spots, gold coins scattered all over the floor, and the barefoot setting ultimately gave the visual presentation more tension than expected. The styling of the fox ears and the wig was the highlight this time. To match Tamamo no Mae's lazy yet slightly proud demeanor, I specifically chose a long, straight pinkish-orange wig with great light translucency. The fox ears on both sides of the crown were lined with soft white fluff, creating a fuzzy, soft-light effect around the edges under the warm yellow light source. For the outfit, the upper body adopted a brown and white color-blocked design, with the golden ring decoration on the chest and the metallic gauntlets on the arms being custom-made accessories. To emphasize the character's dynamic feel, I deliberately experimented with a light midriff-baring cut, paired with loose white pants, and used the tassels at the waist as the visual center.

As for photography, I communicated with the photographer for a long time. The biggest highlight in the scene was that golden carved throne and the gold coins scattered around my feet and on the carpet; this setup, with its slight fantasy touch, completely pushed the atmosphere toward Chinese fantasy or an exotic palace. The entire shooting process was immersed in warm light, and the photographer used light and shadow to sculpt an enchanting dwelling of a fox immortal for us. During the shoot, we set up many small warm-colored string lights in front of the lens, using the bokeh effect of a large aperture to create a screen full of floating golden light spots, bringing a dreamy, blurred feeling that needed no heavy editing in post-production. For the poses across this set, I didn't choose rigid, upright martial arts stances but instead sat casually on the throne, or relaxed cross-legged on the carpet like in the final photo.

The action of reaching out my hand was actually intended to give the viewer an illusion of being invited into this fox immortal world. The barefoot design was also quite bold; paired with the golden rings around my ankles, it added a touch of unruliness and wildness to the standing and sitting postures, which fits the state of a legendary grand demon much better. The most interesting part of the shoot was actually those gold coins; if we weren't careful, they would scatter everywhere, making it quite an effort to clean up. But seeing the golden light reflected by the gold coins in the final photos, combined with the mottled play of light and shadow, made me feel that all the hard work was completely worth it. This kind of atmospheric photography played out rich layers of light and shadow within a limited set, making it a highly enjoyable creative experience for me.
