Cosplaying Fujino Asagami outdoors in temperatures over 30°C was truly a dual test of physical stamina and patience. While the fabric of this black-and-white color-blocked high-collar uniform is structured and crisp, outdoors it turned into a walking sauna. Still, to do justice to the character, the heat was a small price to pay.

Let's first talk about the styling and makeup that everyone is curious about. The core iconic features of Fujino Asagami lie in her long straight purple hair and unmistakable red pupils. To capture that cold, detached demeanor, I specifically chose high-pigment true red colored contacts. A quick tip for anyone wanting to try red contacts: once in, there is a slight red tint around the edges of your vision, which can easily cause dizziness at first; I recommend getting used to them indoors for half an hour before stepping in front of the camera. As for the wig, this kind of waist-length straight hair acts like a dust magnet outdoors—it tangles easily the moment the wind blows. I applied plenty of hair serum and sprayed anti-static spray on the ends before heading out, continuously combing it through with a wide-tooth comb during breaks to prevent any frizz on camera. The eye makeup focused on elongating the eye shape and adding length to the lashes while toning down the blush and lip color, leaving all visual focus on the eyes to create a calm, distant atmosphere alongside the red pupils.

Once at the convention, finding angles and posing was an art of its own. With the high collar and spliced sleeve design, any large movements would distort the uniform's shape. To match her quiet nature, I avoided exaggerated dynamic poses, sticking mostly to simple standing postures, with hand gestures limited to lightly touching my cheek or tucking hair behind my ear. In facial expressions, I consciously suppressed any smile, striving to capture the character's broken and numb demeanor.

What pushed me over the edge, however, was definitely the lower half of the outfit. To stay true to the design, the skirt paired with stockings resulted in insane static electricity. Taking just a couple of steps would make the skirt cling tightly to my legs or even ride up, forcing me to subtly tug it down every few paces. Add in the sweat from the sweltering heat, and the static was practically crackling—a feeling that resonated all too literally with Remaining Sense of Pain. These convention photos were truly a battle against the weather, static, and hair, but the moment I saw the final shots, every bit of effort felt entirely worth it.
