[Hyacinthia Cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Finished Photos, Pink Twin-Tails Magical Girl Look

For this set of Hyacinthia cosplay from Honkai: Star Rail, very detailed adjustments were made from early makeup tests to final shooting. The red and white princess dress paired with a clear, large white turnover collar and a sky-blue bow tie serves as the visual focus of the entire outfit. For the bow tie material, I selected a ribbon with a certain degree of stiffness so that it could maintain its 3D shape without sagging after multiple wears. The gold hot-stamping pattern on the skirt hem and the gold piping on the cuffs were both crafted with high fidelity; this dark gold embossed technique presents an exquisite texture under lighting, rather than simple flat printing.

Besides the costume, Hyacinthia's signature hairstyle was another area requiring careful effort. Pink twin-tails combined with light blue inner hair tips require high support strength from the wig, while coordinating with the red and white dual-color mini top hat on top. Although the hat is small, the white pointed horns on both sides of the brim and the golden spheres enhance the overall playful, magical girl feel. During shooting, the wearing angle of the hat constantly needed adjustment to avoid tilting and blocking the view while forming a good angle with the twin-tails. The white plush hair accessories provided a great transition, making the color scheme softer.

In terms of makeup design, I prioritized a light base makeup for skin texture, blended with peach blush and light blue contact lenses to give the eyes a translucent, lively feel. The eyeliner was subtly flicked upward without looking exaggerated, keeping the character's playfulness while maintaining eye clarity under studio flashlights. Wearing the mini red hat slightly tilted creates an asymmetrical, lively vibe, but this must align well with the overall hairstyle flow; otherwise, it easily looks top-heavy.

The props prepared this time were also very important—namely, the sapphire magical wand in hand. The main blue color tone of the handle echoes the sky-blue bow tie, while the gradient spherical gemstone at the tip utilizes several translucent materials to refract varying depths of blue light under different illumination angles. What looks like a lightweight wand actually spent a lot of weight on its internal support structure to ensure durability. Holding it with both hands during shooting naturally created a relaxed posture that showcases arm lines while steadying the prop. Holding the wand for extended periods can cause wrist fatigue, but fortunately, the gold-rimmed railing frame used in the shoot gave me a bit of support to rest on, allowing me to comfortably adjust my poses.

Regarding the shooting environment, I chose an indoor studio set with a golden birdcage/swing frame. The golden lines echo the gold piping on the dress, while white sheer curtains draping from the top create a dreamy, hazy feeling, making the character in frame appear as if in a mysterious cosmic realm. The white plush pony doll on the side was also a great addition; its blue and white color palette matched my character image perfectly, filling the empty space on the right while adding to the overall cute atmosphere. The lighting leaned toward soft light, basically recreating large window studio light, which not only made the skin look translucent but also enriched the red dress's color saturation. Many scrapped shots were taken before selecting this set with comfortable composition and proper eye-contact angles.

The completion of the entire look was inseparable from post-processing prop assistance and early wig base preparation; in fact, the biggest challenge with each outfit often lies in those easily overlooked small details. Examples include the dyed color and smoothness of the blue inner layer of the twin-tails, as well as the range of movement creases around the shoulders and arms. Every time I see these details looking natural in the final photos, I feel the early effort was completely worth it. Today's photoshoot experience was relaxed overall, gradually finding that innocent yet slightly proud demeanor of the character along with the photographer's pace. The character Hyacinthia has her own unique placement within the world of Honkai: Star Rail; through this look, I hope to present her sense of vitality as much as possible, rather than staying on the surface of costume coordination. Finally, to keep the image texture cleaner, I specifically chose a finished photo without heavy text watermarks as the cover to minimize visual distractions and focus attention on costume styling and character expressions.
