The convention photos from BW2025 are finally ready! This time, I cosplayed Robin from Honkai: Star Rail wearing her 'Aria of the Sacred Heart' skin. A tremendous amount of thought went into the nuances of this costume. Let's start with the wig: the styling by Lingxi was simply unmatched—the hair flow and dimensional layering were handled with effortless grace, while the ice-blue gradient not only matched the original official art, but also bounced the convention lights gorgeously. I reinforced the halo and floral hair accessories atop my head in advance to ensure they wouldn't drop even in packed convention crowds. The wing props absolutely deserve a special mention—the six-winged ear plumage crafted by Youran was breathtaking. The internal skeletal framework provided great support, and the gradient paint blended with such gentle transitions that the purple feather tips gave off a delicate, translucent sheen under the lights; I also specifically reinforced the golden eye-like ornaments affixed to the plumage. Navigating the BW halls carrying such massive wings required a bit of technique, keeping a constant eye on distance from passersby to prevent the feather tips from brushing against anyone; for the sake of stunning photos, however, that slight inconvenience was entirely worthwhile. The small white wing accessories framing the ears fit snugly along the ear contours, infusing the entire silhouette with a lively charm. The dress for 'Aria of the Sacred Heart' is made of pearlescent fabric that radiates an exquisite iridescent sheen under illumination. Because the bustier is quite form-fitting, I made sure to use proper body-shaper tape and shapewear so the garment wouldn't shift during dynamic posing. The sheer, semi-translucent puff sleeves were delightfully lightweight, but to keep them voluminous on camera, I tucked in ultra-fine transparent fishing wire for subtle interior support. The skirt features a classic idol performance cut—the gold piped hem and starry accents, harmonized with the golden waist sash and blue flowing ribbons, generated maximum dynamic motion whenever I walked or spun around. Moving on to hair, makeup, and photography: to embody Robin's character, I wore blue contact lenses, deepening the outer eye corners and lower lids with blended pink tones and glitter; paired with the beauty mark beneath the eye, close-ups made the gaze appear remarkably deep and expressive. Shooting took place outdoors with quite complex lighting, but photographer Dongyuan was incredible at finding angles and chasing the best light. The perspective of the outstretched hand in photo two and the interplay of light and shadow in the photo-three close-up brought out the skin texture and the gown's pearlescent glow flawlessly. To ensure balanced illumination on my face, I dusted highlighter across my collarbones and shoulders, maintaining a luminous, dewy finish even in dim lighting. Walking around in high heels throughout the venue was quite a test of endurance; to stay steady on my feet, I lined the soles with anti-slip pads and securely stitched the white bows onto the vamps. I also spent considerable time cross-referencing the star-cross tattoo sticker on my thigh to match the original art precisely. Convention photography tests your quick-capture reactions and posing in chaotic environments—with so many attendees around, we often waited for brief windows clear of passersby. To better highlight the dress and wings, I intentionally shifted my weight onto one leg and turned slightly in profile, beautifully showing off the skirt's volume and the line of my legs. The BW2025 photoshoot went smoothly from start to finish, and I'm overjoyed to preserve so many gorgeous memories in this 'Aria of the Sacred Heart' outfit.
