The set chosen for this shoot was the interior of a pink-and-purple-toned claw machine, where fluorescent light tubes crafted an atmosphere blending cyberpunk edge with retro arcade vibes. The styling featured rich, layered details: a cropped black long-sleeve top designed with asymmetrical zippers and strapping, paired with a red-and-black plaid pleated skirt on the bottom. Along the waist, a wide leather belt was accented with metallic chains and silver buckles. Embracing a Sweet and cool style techwear look, I wore black fishnet Stockings with an asymmetrical design across the legs—one leg in a white mid-calf sock, and the other in a black over-the-knee sock fastened with a heart-shaped metallic ring. A leather garter ring wrapped around the thigh, anchored by chunky black platform boots. The wig featured silver-white twintails with crimson streaks, topped with clear-framed glasses and dark bows, while a black choker around the neck rounded out the 2D aesthetic.
The shooting prioritized maximizing the cramped interior of the claw machine. For the first shot, I sat sideways next to a giant teddy bear, lifting one hand to lightly touch the glasses on my head; this posture beautifully highlighted the waist exposure alongside the texture of the fishnets and thigh straps. The second photo captured a peace sign aimed at the lens with a slight forward lean, bringing the facial makeup and crimson contact lenses into sharp clarity under the cool lighting. The third shot pushed for dynamic flair: crossing my legs, thrusting one boot forward toward the camera to showcase the thick platform sole, flashing a hand gesture near my cheek with one hand while clutching a small orange plushie with the other. This angle maximized the sweep of the legs and the geometric weave of the fishnets. In the fourth shot, I stood upright inside the machine, gripping the top frame with both hands and spreading my fingers toward the lens, evoking the kinetic tension of trying to break through the 2D fourth wall.
In managing expressions, matching the character's persona meant sustaining an aloof yet playful gaze, supported by reddish flushed eye makeup for added theatricality. With neon lights pouring in from multiple angles inside the claw machine, I had to continuously adjust positioning to prevent harsh glare from obscuring clothing textures. Though movements were constrained by the enclosure, every posture shift required checking that the garter hadn't slipped and the waist chains remained untangled, ensuring each frame crisply presented the garment's design points and body language. The resulting photos delivered striking color contrast, creating a bold collision between the pink backdrop and dark-toned apparel. I hope these diverse perspectives showcase the character's distinctive allure within this unique set.
