[Robin Cosplay] May You Find Peace in Song, Tonight the Stars Ring for Me

I finally received the Robin convention photos taken at WorldLine Anime Convention! Working with Photographer Fusang was a fantastic experience. Since venue lighting was complex and the crowds were huge, finding angles and lighting for good backgrounds was quite challenging. We scouted the location first, locking in spots with soft overhead light before setting up poses and camera angles.

The wig's color accuracy was spot-on, though the golden angel halo on top posed a recurring challenge. To prevent the halo from tilting visually, I used multiple fine bobby pins and a net mesh to secure the wig roots and headpiece firmly, ensuring the halo wouldn't shift when turning my head. For the costume, the upper body features a blue-and-white color-blocked wide-sleeve design with a gold star badge on the chest. The waist cinch snugs the silhouette gracefully, pairing with skirt pleats to emphasize a singer's ethereal lightness.

The biggest challenge was holding the winged starry staff. The top of the staff is richly detailed with moon-and-star, feather, and shell motifs; its metallic texture and noticeable weight meant I had to carefully manage center of gravity while posing. To showcase the staff's dynamic tension, I adjusted my elbow bend to leave clear space between the staff and my body, ensuring post-processed light trails wouldn't look cluttered. Seated poses took several adjustments as well—balancing stability on the metallic step stool while keeping leg lines extending naturally. Tucking the skirt hem slightly exposed the blue lace-up heels at the ankles, echoing the skirt's dark blue trim in color.

Regarding post-processing, the light trails and musical notes added by Fusang were exceptional. Translucent glowing ribbons and floating starry particles encircled my body, aligning seamlessly with the character's \"music\" and \"stage\" themes. With complex convention background blurred out, distant light rigs and dark shadows became tasteful background accents, giving the image authentic depth rather than feeling like a pure synthetic compositing job. From makeup prep to live shooting and final retouching, a lot of dedication went into this set. Seeing these sparkling light particles and flying musical staff symbols in the final renders genuinely creates the illusion of standing on a magnificent stage, singing out loud. Though outdoor shoots and conventions are exhausting, the pure fulfillment upon seeing final images dissolves all fatigue.
