The golden breeze of Okthema brushes through the skirt hem. After sorting through this set of photos, that divine yet slice-of-life feeling was repeatedly confirmed during the editing process. During the early preparations for this shoot, a lot of thought went into the clothing's texture. The fabric with a white base and gold patterns paired with a rigid metal neckpiece would look cheap if the highlights weren't suppressed or if details in the shadows were lost. Therefore, in post-processing, some balancing adjustments were made specifically for the metallic texture and the softness of the white dress.

Because we prepared two completely different backdrops this time, the overall atmosphere captured during the shoot has a strong contrast. In the sets taken in front of the white sheer curtains and the piano, the light is incredibly soft, which, combined with the scattered white roses and chamomiles around, creates an atmosphere leaning more toward serenity and elegance. However, once switched to the red velvet curtain backdrop and black-and-white checkered floor, the tension of the theatrical scene popped out instantly. The golden carved picture frame prop is highly eye-catching against the red curtain, and many friends remarked that the diamond-tilted composition feels very much like an oil painting.

Actually, when performing this cosplay, the setting of being a garment designer led me to intentionally incorporate some meticulous yet calm movements typical of a tailor or a connoisseur when posing. For instance, resting a hand on the neckpiece or gazing intently at a specific spot. To fit Aglaea's identity in Okthema, the blonde hair and green eyes styling specifically emphasized the translucent quality of the green colored contacts. Paired with the golden hair accessories, the overall color palette was locked within the range of white, gold, and green, preventing other chaotic colors from ruining the visual unity.

Trimming the wig was also a challenge; the bangs needed to be cut into a subtle curve, with the side strands framing the face shape. The temperature on the day of the shoot wasn't low, and wearing multiple layers of accessories and arm sleeves was actually quite stuffy and hot. However, to keep the clothing perfectly flat and crisp, I couldn't easily sit down during breaks to avoid folding the skirt hem.

Since the light was more focused in the red curtain set, I specifically brightened the eye area during highlight and shadow processing to make the gaze more focused. Overall, the level of completeness for this styling counts as a relatively satisfying attempt among my recent works. Although the Cosplay photography and editing took a significant amount of time, seeing the final texture displayed makes me feel that organizing these details was completely worth it. In fact, a cosplayer's job is to retell a character through photographic language under limited conditions; whether downcasting eyes to look at sheet music by the piano or staring into the lens through a golden picture frame, the emotion of every single moment needs to be precisely captured.

The inner lining of the costume this time has multiple layers; the outside features elegant cross-straps and golden patterns, while the inside has a separate base layer. It definitely required an assistant's help when putting it on and taking it off to perfectly align the symmetry. The semi-transparent white pattern arm sleeves snag very easily, so my finger movements needed to remain completely extended and relaxed during the shoot, without any forceful pulling. To match the height of the golden frame, the photographer repeatedly adjusted the camera position to ensure the border lines of the frame remained perfectly upright in the image, preventing the visual center from shifting. I think in the hobby of cosplay, the hardest yet most fascinating part is not a 100% replication of details, but rather capturing that precise sense of effortless elegance at a certain moment. Whether drawing close to the piano to listen to flowing notes or being illuminated by a beam of light in front of the pitch-black velvet curtain, all of these require thorough communication with the photographer.

Let's chat a bit about some small details in the color matching this time. Although the large color blocks are white and gold, some light orange was added to the embellishments of the transparent sheer ribbons and hair accessories, which helps warm up the overall cold silver-white feeling. For the eye makeup, I abandoned the overly heavy black eyeliner and used brown instead to deepen the contours, which, paired with the emerald green eye color, made the gaze look much softer. By maintaining respect and love for the character, skills will naturally improve over time. It also fills me with anticipation for interpreting more diverse styles in the future.
