[Amiya cosplay] Arknights Ambience Synesthesia: Blue and White Dreamy Aesthetic Showcase

Once this year's Ambience Synesthesia theme was finalized, I began preparing this Amiya costume. The light blue color scheme mixed with sheer tulle fabric was the core highlight of this design.

For makeup, I chose light blue colored contacts paired with a neatly trimmed wig, spending a long time shaping the curve of the sideburns. The eyeliner and eyeshadow used a cool blue-silver palette to harmonize with the costume's cool tones without looking abrupt. A pinkish water-red lipstick added vitality to the complexion. Initially, wearing the rabbit ears felt unfamiliar due to their sizeable volume; to keep them from tilting or popping up awkwardly, I used plenty of hairspray and bobby pins to secure them. The silver tiara design was also intricate, carrying a texture akin to ice crystals or sprawling branches while feeling lightweight on the head.

Selecting the costume was the top priority. The main dress utilized structured satin to support the bodice, while the hem was woven with multi-layered sheer tulle. The subtle light blue possessed just the right saturation—not an overly piercing blue, but rather like blending seawater into milk. The curve of the skirt hem naturally billowed while walking. The semi-sheer long gloves on the arms really tested arm tone and lines, so I specifically worked out before the shoot. The footwear featured strappy rhinestone high heels that made soft clicking sounds when walking, adding a ceremonial touch. To complement the overall aesthetic, a blue anklet was added at the ankle.

The photoshoot environment was decorated dreamily: mechanical gears of various sizes hung across the backdrop, Roman numeral clocks adorned the walls, and the space was wrapped in white tulle and blue-and-white faux florals. During the shoot, the photographer guided me on utilizing the long skirt hem to frame and elongate leg lines—such as sitting on the black-and-white checkered floor with legs extended to one side, or using the skirt's volume to flatter proportions while half-kneeling. Especially in seated shots, leg lines and ankle accents were key focal points; thanks to the photographer's posing guidance, we captured the most natural states.

We experimented with many poses—such as holding a bouquet while tilting the head slightly, creating an impression of existing in a suspended moment in time, or standing with the delicate silver spiral staff, balancing the center of gravity to look poised without appearing rigid. In truth, maneuvering this costume and substantial props during the shoot was a dual test of physical stamina and patience. But seeing how the fabric folds looked airy and dynamic under the light and shadow in camera truly made every bit of effort rewarding. This shoot deepened my personal understanding of the Ambience Synesthesia theme; infusing these details and emotions into my 2D cosplay work is my greatest motivation.
