This set of Bai Feng photos was captured at the CICF Guangzhou anime convention photo report. When the costume arrived, I immediately noticed its rich detailing: an off-the-shoulder wide-sleeved top in monochrome black and white, adorned with a white floral knot at the bust, and a wide black corset belt layered with pearl draping that catches the light beautifully. The white fabric of the sleeves and hem features subtle silver-gray jacquard wave patterns, giving off a delicate sheen in motion. The twin high hair buns were tied with white floral ornaments and black ribbons, matched with long straight silvery-white hair, yellow-green contacts, and a black choker around the neck to complete the styling.

For the shooting area, we picked a quiet nook away from the convention crowd and laid down a plush white faux-fur mat. The prop was a slender black staff topped with a golden sphere, with a purple sachet and dangling tassel hanging below. In the first shot, I sat cross-legged in profile with legs crossed, cradling the staff horizontally across my chest with my left hand while resting right fingertips lightly on it, gazing straight into the lens. This pose allowed the flared hemline to drape naturally while fully accentuating leg lines and the smooth texture of the White stockings. In the second frame, I turned slightly, leaning my upper body back with my right hand braced on the floor and legs extended and crossed. This pose allowed my body to stretch out more comfortably, highlighting overall proportions and garment drape while letting my gaze drift casually off-camera for a relaxed, languid mood.

Honestly, photographing White stockings demands precise lighting. Ambient light at the Guangzhou expo hall was rather chaotic, so we placed a dedicated warm key light from the front-right while letting the background fall into deep shadow, ensuring the weave of the stockings and the garment embroidery were crisply illuminated without turning dull or blown out. To dial in the best angles, I readjusted my seating position on the plush mat multiple times, minding the trailing hem so it wouldn't bunch into messy folds. The black platform sandals resting nearby were slipped off during pauses; decorated with blue-and-white bows and metallic buckles, they echoed the styling wonderfully.

The prop staff carried noticeable weight, which, combined with the billowing sleeves, required core stability during each movement. Throughout the shoot, I continually fine-tuned my finger placement on the staff to ensure the sachet and tassel cascaded naturally without blocking my body or looking stiff. Nailing this set was undeniably taxing physically—especially holding poised seated postures while monitoring wig and makeup perfection. Yet seeing the resulting lighting and tactile fidelity hit every expectation made every bit of adjustment worthwhile. The whole session felt like stepping fully into the character's skin, letting body language narrate the design of the costume and props in Anime cosplay.
