Today at the pop-up event for Amairo Chocolate 2, we primarily completed a photoshoot featuring Mitsuki Momose cosplay, Misono Ichika cosplay, and Mikuri Amamiya cosplay. The first look for Mitsuki Momose combines traditional Japanese styling with Western dress: a yellow jacket with purple cuffs, worn over a pink-and-black checkered neckline and a white apron. To match this gentle, sweet look, I intentionally posed with a framing hand gesture; the fluffy animal ears and lace headpiece looked remarkably soft under the warm ambient light. Personally, though, I favored the third black-and-pink maid outfit even more. Orange-pink long hair paired with black ribbon bows and animal ears, an off-the-shoulder cut combined with Black stockings and lace gloves—this look carried much stronger visual tension. I tried an open-arms pose with one leg slightly bent; the photographer captured it from a slightly lower angle, which perfectly elongated leg lines, and the texture of the Black stockings translated brilliantly under the exhibition hall lights. The second look featured long silvery-white hair paired with a pink-and-white maid outfit, focusing on accentuating an adorable atmosphere—the large pink bow at the neckline and the pink ruffled apron were eye-catching, while purple contact lenses resonated seamlessly with the overall palette. Shooting in an environment with complex lighting like an exhibition venue really tests photography skills; crowds linger in the background and light sources are mixed. We scouted several corners, utilizing a wide aperture to blur the background while adjusting positioning to avoid direct overhead light, preserving the true colors of the garments as much as possible. The wig styling was prepared in advance, and the animal ears were anchored securely with hairpins so they didn't budge even during wide-range movements. For makeup, we focused on harmonizing the eyeshadow with luminous colored contacts to make the gaze captivating during tight close-ups. The three outfits spanned quite different aesthetics—from well-behaved to playful, and then slightly cool—requiring a fresh reset of demeanor and body language with each change. Galgame character designs are rich and nuanced; being able to manifest that 2D anime charm in reality through wardrobe and photography was an incredibly fun experience. During shooting breaks, I also browsed the pop-up shop's merchandise; the atmosphere was meticulously curated, with many details corresponding directly to scenes in the game, making this shoot feel like an authentic pilgrimage to the world of the work.
