[Evanescia cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail: Studio Log of Pink Bunny Ears and Black Stockings

The moment hair and makeup were finalized and I stepped into the studio bay, I fully locked into character. This set of Evanescia from Honkai: Star Rail was shot as a Convention photo session at a rental studio near Jing'an Joy City. Serving as an essential milestone archive for the Dimensional Traveler project, the schedule was booked well in advance with the photographer, making the workflow remarkably efficient.

The wig was a textured short pink cut sculpted with crisp, layered feathering. Blue-violet contact lenses paired with glittery under-eye highlights rendered my gaze luminous under soft studio diffusers. Crowned atop the head was a pair of plush white bunny ears lined with vivid crimson on the inside and detailed with gilded trims on the outer shell, requiring several concealed bobby pins to anchor securely. The five-petal pink-and-white floral barrette pinned across the left bangs added an exquisite focal touch.

The wardrobe was packed with intricate details: a cropped white military-style jacket bordered by golden filigree piping worn over a stiff, crisp mandarin-collared shirt. An oversized red ribbon bow at the throat commanded attention, layered above a gold-patterned black tie and crimson tassels that gave the chest area dimensional depth. The deep-navy pleated skirt was cinched with a wide black leather belt featuring a solid metal circular buckle. To complete the coordinate, I styled sheer Black stockings with heeled black ankle boots. Accented by golden buckles and red piping, the boot heels demanded serious stamina during extended standing poses, yet they sculpted leg proportions flawlessly and allowed the skirt to flare cleanly during turns.

The handheld prop was a wide tricolor textile draped in red, blue, and white. Because the garment sleeves were cut generously wide, posing required mindful engagement of the neck and shoulders, curving fingers naturally to support the fabric's flow. Sporting a white glove on one hand and a black fingerless glove on the other, I alternated between adjusting my necktie, touching my brow, and resting a hand on my hip. The photographer's shutter timing was exceptionally sharp; working with a heavy-duty tripod, they balanced key and rim lights softly—even turning the floor's emergency exit signs into an intentional element of spatial depth.

Having done cosplay for many years, my perspective has evolved—from casually wandering convention halls to mindfully cataloging these characters through stills and cinema. Every pattern cut, makeup test, Convention photo shoot, and retouching session is a fresh reinterpretation of the character. Within the studio, there is no need to worry about onlookers' gazes; losing myself entirely before the lens, I become the character in that singular moment. Without needing overblown theatrics, capturing these honest details and states of mind is the greatest tribute to my own passion.
