[Priestess cosplay] Arknights Priestess CPG 08 Convention photos

This CPG 08 convention, I cosplayed Priestess from Arknights. For these Convention photos, the preliminary preparation took a lot of thought. First, in handling the wig, I chose a basic long straight black style, but added purple gradient highlights on the hair ends and inner layers, paired with a black wide-brimmed headband, striving to visually restore that detached, rational temperament. In terms of costume, I prepared a white short cape jacket outlined with black lines, paired with a white shirt and a black bow tie inside. The lower body features a black pleated skirt and black semi-transparent stockings, matched with light-colored flat shoes. To increase realism, I also specially made a blue work badge on my chest and held a black folder in my hand, striving to nail that workplace-capable vibe.
On the day of the shoot, the photographer @Daodaibudaodao and I arrived at the venue early to look for a suitable shooting location. Eventually, we decided to shoot at the escalators and glass railings on the edge of the exhibition hall. The cold, hard metallic feel of modern architecture and the light and shadow of the glass curtain walls fit Priestess's costume temperament very well. During the shooting process, the height difference of the escalators gave us a lot of room for play. To capture a top-down visual effect, the photographer stood high up, using the geometric perspective composition formed by the escalator steps and yellow warning lines to create an environment atmosphere with a sense of oppression and technology. Although the escalator was moving constantly, making shooting a test of timing and positioning for candid shots, the output effect was surprisingly good.
The set of photos standing in front of the glass railing is a style I personally prefer. At that time, the light came from the side, so I slightly adjusted the angle of my body sideways and straightened my hair with my hand, allowing the lighting to better outline the lines of the skirt and stockings. Holding a folder in my hand with a hint of a smile in my eyes, it showed a more relaxed side of Priestess, different from her usual work state. In terms of action design, I didn't do too many exaggerated poses, mainly staying true to the character's calm and rational setting, conveying emotions through her gaze and subtle body movements. Judging from the final photos, the contrast between the white-and-black color scheme and the cool-toned background is very sharp, and the overall frame is clean and neat.
Through this cosplay, I have a deeper understanding of the character Priestess. She not only possesses a calm and steady side, but the warmth she occasionally reveals is also very touching. Being able to complete a shoot in a highly modern scene with such a complete uniform, work badge, and props was a very fulfilling role-playing experience.
