This set of convention photos turned out with a great vibe; the overall concept was to capture a casual yet slightly spicy night street style. To match the high-saturation red hair cosplay, the outfit was deliberately chosen in classic black-and-white color blocking. The upper garment is a short black leather jacket; the natural luster of the leather material is a huge bonus during night shoots, reflecting a great texture under streetlights or flashes, and the cropped design visually elevates the waistline. The inner layer is a simple white low-cut camisole, paired with a white pleated hip-wrapping mini skirt; the ruched design on the side of the skirt breaks the monotony of solid colors and adds dimensional layering. In terms of accessories, a black metal-buckled leather choker is the finishing touch, enhancing the overall rebellious and cool vibe. For the lower body, black stockings were chosen; the semi-sheer material flatters the leg shape nicely, and finally stepping into a pair of black-and-white sneakers neutralizes the maturity of the leather jacket and short skirt, injecting a street-casual flavor while making it convenient to walk.
For the shooting location, we chose the back door of a supermarket. The nighttime ambient lighting is quite challenging, but we intentionally utilized the surrounding cool-toned ambient light combined with a flash to outline the silhouettes. Regarding pose guidance, I didn't force overly exquisite poses, but rather let myself completely relax. Sitting on the steps with legs crossed naturally, or casually leaning against the railing looking back, holding a cigarette and letting the smoke disperse in the light—that effortless relaxed vibe came right out. The gaze didn't deliberately cater to the camera, just looking forward naturally, carrying a bit of post-convention exhaustion and laziness.
Actually, the original intention of doing this styling was to try a route completely different from my usual well-behaved style. The makeup matching the red hair and red eyes also took some thought, with the eye makeup intentionally deepening the contours to make the gaze more aggressive. The whole process went very smoothly; although I was tired from walking around the convention all day, I got more and more into the zone as night fell. Although night photography has high demands on equipment, the photo results are truly fantastic. This outfit is not only suitable for convention photos, but also very practical for everyday shopping or taking photos with friends. The black leather jacket blocks the wind and the sneakers are easy to walk in, balancing both aesthetics and comfort. The shooting atmosphere was very relaxed, and it wasn't awkward even when someone occasionally passed by the supermarket; this is the authentic record of casual street style that I wanted.
