[P-Maru Sama. cosplay] Himitsu no AiPri: Itasha Convention Photos Shared

Dressed in this Himitsu no AiPri costume as P-Maru Sama., complete with twin-tail pigtails, a yellow top, and a massive pink bow, I wrapped up this set of Convention photos at the Itasha culture exhibition site during the 2025 'Tong Yihui' event at Tanzhou. The character embodies a vibrant and adorable idol aesthetic, so I deliberately chose a nearby Itasha completely wrapped in anime decals as the background.
The highlights of the shoot heavily involved utilizing the Itasha's body structure. Since the character comes with a microphone prop, holding the mic during the shots added a distinct stage presence and interactive flair. Regarding the attire, the cropped yellow top paired with holographic sequined mini-skirt and long yellow leg warmers did wonders for visual proportions, especially in lengthening the leg lines, which offered a great advantage for standing compositions. In convention venues featuring patterned flooring and complex lighting, maintaining image quality meant managing the light sources carefully—making the most of ambient overhead illumination while avoiding direct spotlights to prevent overexposure on the head, all while utilizing floor reflections to softly fill in the lower body.
When designing poses to complement the vehicle, I opted for dynamic stances. Standing poses showcased the footwear and leg warmer details most intuitively; half-kneeling poses brought the subject closer to low-angle displays, evoking a friendly, approachable idol aura; and leaning out of the car window framed the face neatly, drawing full focus to facial expressions. The holographic skirt fabric yielded varying reflective shimmers under different angles, providing great room for post-processing play while requiring vigilance against stray glares. The Itasha's colors were exceptionally vivid; to avoid letting the background overshadow the subject, we selected cleaner angles or deployed a wide aperture to blur out surrounding exhibition booths and dense crowds. The shoot proceeded smoothly with a fantastic on-site atmosphere, and this styling achieved the expected standard under the exhibition lights—a thoroughly delightful convention experience.
